10 Songs/Artists/Groups That Need More Attention

EDIT: That awkward moment you make a spelling mistake in the title -_-

After watching the Melon awards, I realised how many really, really great artists and groups out there really deserve to get more attention (in no particular order)

1. Park Ji Yoon - Tree of Life
Park Ji Yoon, a true paragon of K-POP, an amazing artist, and a woman not afraid to stand up for what she believes. After she went indie, she didn't really get much attention, even though she released some really good music. However, with her recent release of 'Mr.' she seems to be gaining some popularity again.

2. Brown Eyed Girls - String
I know, everyone knows B.E.G., everyone has heard 'Abracadabra' and 'Sixth Sense', but it's when you start to delve into their past when you find the real gems of their career. Songs like this really put Narsha, JeA and Ga-In's soulful singing, and Miryo's sultry rapping on display, and shows a side to them that you don't see as much anymore.

3. Kim Ye Rim - Urban Green (english version)
Theres something about Lim Kim's voice that is just so enthralling, her quiet tone and liquid articulation provides a nice respite from otherwise bright and colourful K-POP. Special little songs like this often slip off the radar, which is a real shame.

4. Zeni.Kim - Coming to an End
Some of you probably remember the group 'Elizabeth', they released one song, and then basically fell off the world. One of the members, Zeni.Kim released a follow up song, and it's a crime that this girl isn't famous, because her voice is AMAZING!! Not to mention she's also pretty, I have no idea how someone like her fell through the cracks. I hope one day she is picked up by a real company.

5. Fat Cat - Is Being Pretty Everything?

Fat Cat, another great artist that just disappeared for no reason. After she fell ill during her promotions for her song 'Like a Dream' she basically just went missing. She's really pretty, talented (and for anyone who saw her Maxim photo shoot you know she's got some junk in her trunk). I don't know why LoenENT isn't using her, but they definitely should.

6. EvoL - I'm Sorry

EvoL is one of my favourite groups, they're one of the few good female hiphop groups out there, and they're also really talented. But since the whole Block B thing, Stardom has forgotten about them. Here's hoping Stardom remembers they exist and gives them a proper album next time, not just a crappy repackage.

7. SunnyHill - Puppetry

SunnyHill is one of the first K-POP groups I ever heard, and ever since I first saw their MV for 'Midnight Circus' I've loved them. SunnyHill is one of the only groups with both females and males in it, and they make some really amazing songs. SunnyHill, despite their regular comebacks, don't really get much attention. Hopefully now Janghyun is back they will have another hit like 'The Grasshopper Song'

8. Andamiro - Waiting

Andamiro is one of those singers with a really unique voice, which makes her music really special and distinguishable. Her songs have been met with a reasonable response, but she definitely deserves more attention. Did I mention she's also really, really pretty? Cause' she totally is.

9. Global Icon - Booshit

GI is another one of those really cool female hiphop groups, and they have a pretty unique concept, at least in the K-POP world. They're still rookies, but so far they've made a powerful impression. GI aren't afraid to be different, which is good in today's K-POP world. I would like to seem them embrace their supposed 'global' nature though, and release some songs in other languages.

10. RaNia - Killer

Most people know RaNia as 'that one girl group that released that one song which was sexy', but underneath all the booty shaking and risqué dancing, they're actually quite talented. Though they've suffered a lot of changes to their members, they've managed to come out with some pretty good songs, in both Korean and English. Also, Jooyi really needs to go on Immortal Song, her voice is amazing.
