Did you guys see the allkpop article about the BIG 3 reporting against digital chart manipulation? Some people are pointing fingers at our girls as one of the groups who manipulate charts :/ and I'm so upset that they would think so! Honestly Chrome has literally NO MONEY so that wouldn't exactly work lol People also need to realize that BBB didn't suddenly rose to the tops of the charts. If they had been following BBB's ranking on the daily chart, they would know that the song moved up slowly, step by step. And also because we are international fans, we have no idea about CrayonPop's popularity in KOREA. Maybe most international fans don't like BBB but that doesn't mean most people in korea doesn't like it also. *sigh* this is so frustrating!

It's a bit disheartening to read some of the shade from individuals of two fandoms that I am also a part of. Hopefully it hasn't bothered you guys. There seem to be many that feel threatened or bothered by Bar Bar Bar's success and they are lashing out.

Well, that's not really surprising considering kpop fandoms are pretty much dominated by teen girls...

Personally I'm more concerned abouth the Sony connection. While that will obviously help Crayon Pop reach a bigger international market, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Sony tries to push them into the sell-out lane to make more money.

 

I am worried about that too. I really hope that Chrome has the sense to keep their own style.

Guys, 2NE1 doesn't participate on Music Bank because YG doesn't let its groups go on that show because of past issues. So that means tomorrow, there is a good chance that Crayon Pop will be nominated for No.1 and, should I dare say this......they might actually win!! I'm crossing my fingers, gosh I'm so nervous  . Can't wait till tomorrow night!!

 

It would depend on broadcast points. It will probably be f(x) vs EXO or Crayon Pop.

I had to join this site since there wasn't any active forum threads for CP like you guys.

 

I just got back into the K-Pop scene again since 2010, but after watching one of their MV Saturday Night Live and than I found out their latest single Bar Bar Bar a month ago, I have to say that this group is a fresh of breath air. I'm addicted to Bing Bing the most, can't wait for their upcoming new single next month.

 

So I wanted to ask if you guys know if there's a sub for one of their season 1 episode 7? I ended up watching most of their video's haha. Following the girls on their adventures from rookies to now is pretty crazy feat. I'm glad how much they have accomplished alone.

Pretty much. It's also the way it happened to. People don't like change and Crayon Pop is the definition of against the norm. Popularity brings haters. It's a good thing. It means Crayon Pop matters.

I'm just going to be honest...I don't really like to read the negative articles or even pay attention to them. I've always gone to this thread because it's always been a happy-go-lucky Crayon Pop haven with heaps of optimism and dedication. I can't say I really want to talk about the negative stuff here personally but that's just me.

 

When a group gets popular, they get haters. It's going to happen. I know we are a relatively small and fresh fanbase but we still gotta get used to the fact that Crayon Pop is VERY big right now and they are going to get people to try to bring them down. It doesn't help that their CEO gave them material on a silver platter.

 

I must emphasize this: the vast majority of the Korean public does not care about this scandal, they just want good music. Crayon Pop gives them that. I don't see C-POP falling way down just because of this.

 

There is no sense of getting mad anymore. Get more dedicated to the 5 lovely women we follow, watch more of their stuff, get prepared for their comeback and just bunker down. Getting frustrated isn't going to help anything.

I'm curious also. I know you said Music Bank counts a lot of appearance points so I don't know. Plus, last week Crayon Pop fell 2 places to number 5 so it will be surprising if they can climb up again this week. It might happen because they were no.1 on the latest Instiz chart.

 

Well you don't have other groups like f(x) and BEG to cut into the overall digital points as much plus you have broadcast points. I am curious to see what happens.

I would have mixed feelings about them winning a music show at the moment - especially over any group with a large fandom.

can anyone explain to me the grading system of those music shows? why is it that there is this one category that CP always get a 2 or a measly single digit score as opposed to that of EXO's 4 digit points?

It is very very difficult for a digital single to win Music Bank especially against a group that is physically dominate.
