Crayon Pop (크레용팝) Official Thread

My friend is a bit older than me so he was more familiar with H.O.T. I got into kpop around 2011 but now I feel so ancient compared to kpop fans as they are so young. My friend told me children at the school he teaches at are into kpop (BTS and Blackpink of course).

Yeah I remember the S Club 7 tour. My friend went to the Aqua one but it got cancelled like 20 minutes before they were due to take the stage. I never go to concerts nowadays as kpop/jpop groups tend to not tour where I live haha. I wanted to go to the Day on the Green to see The Living End and Spiderbait but it was too expensive for a hour set.

On the topic of Crayon Pop, I was searching on yahoo auctions japan recently and came across this Dancing All Night cover. It's so amazing!

I've been around on various k-pop forums since 09 and being honest, there are only a handful of current groups I've got any interest in.

 

Back when I first got into k-pop people still held out hope that 1TYM were actually on hiatus since it had only been about 18 months since the members last performed together, I just looked it up and it's now been 12 and 1/2 years since their last album.

 

My worry with Chrome is there has been a lot less communication and very little general activity since the takeover and CEO Hwang leaving. We've gone from a position a few years ago where you had Crayon Pop TV, Chrome-in and Chrome Family concerts in Japan off the back of Crayon Pop's success featuring K-Much, Bob Girls and Zan Zan to a point where they appear to have three actors signed under the agency but have completely forgotten how to engage with fans or make YouTube videos.

 

Vlive is at best a niche site (and Chrome were late to the party in signing up) yet that seems to be the only place there's been any new content recently and even then it's only Be.A members self recorded videos which are averaging 1 - 2k views.

 

It's possible we may see some sort of Crayon Pop reunion one day but I don't see much happening in the immediate future.
