I do trust Chrome to stick with what works. C-POP is so consistent with their unique style that I can't imagine Chrome CEO going another direction for their followups. You know it's going to be a super catchy bop with fantastic choreo. It's almost to be expected now.

 

It is amazing that Chrome, out of anyone, remembers how to make catchy cohesive songs.

 I would also like to add that I was here for the start of this thread and posted in the H8 Crayon Pop thread and to see the growth of this fanbase firsthand is quite humbling and amazing. It's been such a rapid growth. These girls are so easy to love and they deserve that support tbh

At first it seems like CP can be a 'one hit wonder' with Bar x3 but maybe they and their company have the ability to keep it up, but they shouldn't pigeonhole themselves into a single concept and should branch out.

 

I don't see that happening.

 

Chrome has been really good about keeping the C-POP style but changing things up. Bing Bing, Saturday Night and Dancing Queen all sound different from each other and none of those songs sound anything like Bar Bar Bar. I trust them to be able to continue their streak of fantastic catchy songs.

 

They are always going to be wacky, off-kilter and goofy. I doubt they'll go the typical sexy route anytime soon.

I wouldn't let myself get too worked up over it, it's not the way I'd go about drumming up support but I think that's pretty much what she was doing. There are better (and classier) ways of encouraging your fans to vote for you tbh but us hating back gains nothing. 

 

Lets just keep doing our thing and supporting our girls.

That's actually really good. Bugs is easily the most violate of the KPOP charts as it's very hard to stay on that chart very long when new releases comes out.

 

EDIT: Also they were just #1 on Naver (and Daum). Their first number #1 on any chart in their career.

It's a real time chart. Since this is uncharted territory for us Cuties (and since I'm a SONE, I know the Korean charts by heart), this is how it goes:

 

What matters more than any hour individually is that their peak goes higher every day. Yesterday it was 5th. The day before, 6th. Today, it was 3rd. They peak on Melon between 11PM - 1AM KST and then drop a bit. If they stay in the top 5-7 on Melon, that's really good. That means they may peak at #1 tomorrow (which would be amazing).

 

The other charts will start to go up in the next few hours. This is a good thing. it wouldn't shock me if they hit #1 on another chart.

 

What I'd like is if they get featured on Melon today or tomorrow. if so, the song is gonna hit #1 immediately and might stay there for a while. What makes this remarkable is that there is a word of mouth sleeper hit grown organically which doesn't really happen in KPOP. Most songs peak first week and then drop, either gradually or slowly.

 

This is not the type of talk I ever expected when I started following this group last year. The fact that we are having it now is still blowing my mind honestly.

Let's not jump the gun yet. Baby steps to that point. They are definitely starting to break that nugu mold though.

Best to keep it in the Crayon Pop thread.....It so much thread about Crayon Pop now, its bringing in negativity  best to not add fuel to the fire...

 

Well I only suggest it as there are like 100 Crayon Pop threads and it might be best to keep all chart updates and the like in one thread.

 

I would also like to add that this thread has grown 40 pages in like 1.5 months. That's really amazing. I'm glad that there is so much activity in this thread.

 

I do think that, as a fanbase, we need to stay humble and realize that this group is still a nugu group and is still working hard and fighting. There is a fine line between being proud and confident and being arrogant. I wouldn't want many of us to become arrogant.
