[HL]
A hundred poems by the immortals of poetry, a thousand scrolls by the sages of painting
Cannot compare to her [coquettish and touching] smile as she glances backwards, [which brings] spring winds of the third month of the year[1].
[LL]
[Music produced by] the sheng, the se, and strings of the qin, the classics of ten thousand generations,
Cannot compare to a soft call from her, which [is so marvelously attractive it] winds about the rafters and lingers [in the ear].
[CS]
Becoming inebriated in the moonlight, sleeping beneath the peach blossoms,
After sobering up, playfully laugh and furiously curse[2] [as I will], free and at ease, in front of the marketplace.
[GH]
do not make pills of immortality from metal and stone. [i'm] unwilling to sit in meditation.
Whose self-cultivation[3] is more consummate, unrestrained, and leisurely than mine?

You laugh at me for being too insane. I laugh at you for not being able to see through [the ways of the world].
Tossing aside the gratitudes and grudges, severing the worries and sorrows, madly sing for a hundred years.
Love poems written for the beautiful women, fine wine to toast in honor of the wise and the noble.
[Live] carefreely and happily like the immortals.

[T]
Too insane. You cannot see through [my ways].
Living in seclusion in the countryside, in the distant southern mountains, exchanging peach blossoms for the money with which buy wine.
Wealth and rank are like clouds and mist. There is no need to be attached to an inflated reputation.
Life resembles a dream. Make [your] way through this world with an easy and playful attitude.

T/N:

[1] 三月天: "Third month of the year" here refers to the third month by the lunar calendar, which usually falls in April-May and hence is spring...unlike March of the Gregorian calendar.

[2] 嬉笑怒骂: lit. play, laugh, anger, curse. It is an idiom that broadly describes all kinds of emotions and actions.

[3] 修行: In this context, more accurately, it is the "practice", or "study", of either Buddhism or Taoism.
