Considering Korea has the access and demographic to acquire it(what with there being a lot of industry overlap), it's not really a surprise. It'd be like asking why Canadians like DC or Marvel. I guess because the anime starts airing at 1999 so that was when all the idols were young so they grew up with it. I for example starts watching One Piece at 2004. Somebody give Fairy Tail as comparison but it starts at 2010, when most idols were already older. Unless they're legit crazy about anime they won't be watching something as new as that.
