Do you think food addiction should be treated similarly to drug addictions?

Whenever someone sees extremely obese people, there's often some remark along the lines of "well why don't they just stop eating??" or "Well they should've stopped before they got like this!"

But, when you see someone with a drug addiction, people will often consider their background and what pushed them to start using. They will often sympathize if the people had a hard past and will understand what pushed them to become this way and why they weren't able to "just stop".

Do you think that food addictions could be on par with drug addictions in the way that people can't just stop, because they depend on it to help them cope with the past?

No cause Im addicted to food but I dont gain weight... :imstupid:

Just because you don't gain weight, doesn't mean you are healthy

If you still eat too much salt or sugar, you can get diabetes or hypertension or any other heart disease

fat =/= illness

skinny =/= healthy

then you are healthy because you checked your health not because you don't gain weight

i know a lot of people that's super skinny but they have pre-diabetes because they never cared for what they ate. Be careful
