I feel like it portrays us perfectly. Even the fangirling part if you could ever meet your favorite characters.

The trailer looks really good. I think it's supposed to be out on Viki tomorrow (if you don' have a subscription).

I'm seriously looking forward to this. Hopefully it ends up being as good as it looks. I'm expecting a lot of hilarity.

That flashback moment though. Lol.

I absolutely hate flashbacks- especially if the event just happened like 2 minutes ago.

This better be accurate. As in they better be showing someone posting timed comments about their bias randomly, talk about how bad an actress looks when they hate her character, make a silly joke in the middle of a sad scene and complain about subs not being completed 1 hour after the show airs.

Lol the flashback moment! Looks good so I will definitely check this out.

Hope this happens too. I remember seeing this ad on viki where this guy was showering and timed comments were being posted and then suddenly someone came in the shower all fangirl like.

I haven't, but even after seeing just the teaser for it, the shoe looks incredibly cringe-worthy. It's like the producers went onto Tumblr, and got their inspiration for the main character from there. I'm passing on it.

Honestly, it's not as bad as I expected it to be. I mean, it's cringe worthy af, but I can still watch it while enjoying some parts.

The story isn't so bad, there are just some characters that I don't click with, especially the male lead. He's supposed to be this complex character with familial and love issues but because the actor is absolutely atrocious (cute nonetheless) I can't take him seriously. And I also can't take him and Claire's love line seriously either because for one, he's looks twice her age, and two he can't act with that much depth to convey romance. The chemistry between them is just not there.

I enjoy Claire's character because she is relatable (I've never dreamt of myself jumping into a korean drama but if I had my reactions would be similar). Going off the teasers, I thought she was gonna be the worst, but her acting is a lot better than I expected. She's not great, but she's believable and a lot better than her male co-star. Even the few scenes she's had with that other glasses guy who has a crush on the korean girl has more chemistry with her. Honestly, I was hoping they'd be a thing but I guess it's not going there.

Everyone else is okay. Justin Chon is adorable, I enjoy his dual character, he plays the good nerd and the villain well IMO. Still cheesy, but decent.

My favorite parts are the drama parodies, like the fainting scene, the flashback scene, and the scene where Siwon falls in love with her after he gets saved from a car crash lol. I also liked the Han Ji Min cameos, I was so happy to see Lee Ji Ah, I wasn't expecting her at all!

So yeah, comedy is a check,  but the romance and sincerity aspect is a little cringeworthy.

I am sorry for being so shady but I just can't stand Claire's hairstyle. I know it is a stupid reason but even after 4 episodes, it still bothers me so much lol. Like, she could look so much better !!

As for the storyline, it is cringe-worthy, we all agree but it is not that bad. What is bad is the acting tho. And I have some problems with the male lead's korean prononciation. Obviously, he speaks better than me but you can tell that he is so much more confortable when he speaks English than when he speaks Korean, which I completely understand but it feels so weird during the scene and kind of cut the whole fiction/reality thing.

Anyway, I dont think I will continue watching it. It is a nice and original idea but remake it in a Korean drama with better actors and storyline and I would watch it. Oh and it has to air on tvN. The network is on fire this year :D. Oh Hae Young Again is amazing (a little promo here :P)

If you ask me this is total wish fulfillment at its finest, and i'm not even being ironic

Full disclosure: i just discovered it like seconds ago and haven't actually watched, but already i'm loving the concept.

It's a love letter to the i-fandom in all its forms, not limited to dramas. It's wish fulfillment, drama trope satire and real life parody all in one, what's not to love?

Will be back after watching it.

BTW OP maybe consider putting Viki and Dramaworld tags on your post? If you're interested in actually attracting fans of the show to come here and comment, that is.
