If you like what you are doing and it pays well, I don't see a problem in having a 9-5 job. I like to be my own boss though, so I'm trying to start my own business at the moment.

considering i'm gonna hopefully go to art school probably not... but I am going to starve for the rest of my life though.

Lmfao  .

Don't worry, though. Remember that some of the most important philosophers, like Nietzsche, deem the arts to be what make life possible and worth living. Even important scientists recognize this:

'Life depends on science but the arts make it worth living'--John Martin (Director of University College London's Center for Cardiovascular Biology and Medicine).

I wish you the best of luck :ahmagah:  :ahmagah:.

Well I went through grad school, got a bunch of loans, worked the worst job ever (I wish it's 9 - 5, that'd be a dream), paid off all my loans, and quit my job. Now I'm back at square 1, and I've no idea what to do next.

I think a lot of young people like to think they'll go a different path.  I used to be the same way until I ended up in a 9-5 :._.:

It's not the worst.  I guess if you have a terrible boss or doing something you really hate.  Most of the time I'm browsing the internet listening to music :._.:

No loans is nice tho.  There's a ton of people in your spot but haven't paid off their loans yet.

Well, I've managed to take out only one loan for now. There's a great outlook on my desired career and I'm constantly hearing about what a great major I've chosen (ENG-SPAN translation) and how I'll earn lots of money in the future, SO, I'm hoping and praying and crying that this turns out to be true. Otherwise, well, I'll get there someday.

when i was little i thought working in an office would be cool and i literally did not know why people didnt want to do it and i still sorta think itd be neat

i clicked no on the survey (which is true because 'work hard in school'??? HA… though i am trying my best to work hard) but honestly i dont think id mind a 9-5 job given that i enjoyed it and found it fulfilling. idk if ill end up that way being the sort of person i am though
