It means that way back in 2015 he told her he wanted to marry her.  She was wary to date another celebrity, but he basically said I don't want to just date you, I want to marry you which showed how serious about her he was. So they were always dating seriously with marriage in mind this whole time.  We know they've been together awhile since at least the NY hand holding sighting before DoTS even aired. Though probably while DoTS was filming if not before since there are also sighting regarding that too.  Then they got officially engaged in January. 

 

And I agree, I'd really like to know their story from their own mouths.  Too many sudden Song Song experts in the press.

Song Hye-kyo's family story

 

 

Song Hye-kyo's parents got divorced when she was young so her grandfather raised her.

TV Josun "Star Talk Show" talked about Song Hye-kyo's family. Her parents are of the same age and they got married at the age of 18th. They had Song Hye-kyo and got divorced 9 years later.

 

Song Hye-kyo's mother had no friends in Seoul so her father-in-law helped her. He played the father role for Song Hye-kyo and attended her school events and participated in her school life.

 

Family counselor professor Lee Ho-sun said, "Song Hye-kyo's mother raised her daughter to be independent as she lost her mother at an early age, too".

 

 

 

Song Hye-kyo's mother apparently taught Song Hye-kyo to be able to survive on her own even when her mother disappears one day. She was taught to cook and feed herself since she was young.

 

Song Hye-kyo didn't have a lonely childhood and got lots of love from her mother who took many pictures of young Song Hye-kyo as well.

 

 

 

 

 

When Song Hye-kyo was young, nothing was digital so the effort the mother went through to take film pictures and have them developed shows just how much she loves her daughter.

Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki's families meet last week, wedding of the century

 

 

 

 

 

The Song-Song couple's families met last week.

 

Song Joong-ki's father's friend told Sports Seoul that Song Joong-ki' father was happy about the meeting that's being held in Seoul.

 

Song Joong-ki's parents are currently living in Daejeon. They came up to Seoul for the meeting with Song Hye-kyo's parents. This is the first time the families met.

 

They talked about the wedding venue and where they will be living.

 

The wedding preparations are going according to plan. The couple announced that will be getting married on the last day of October. This was announced on the 5th of July after numerous times of denying that they had anything to do with each other and two scandals later.

 

Meanwhile, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo met in the drama "Descendants of the Sun" as lovers and turned into lovers in real life. All of Asia is focusing on this Hallyu couple.

Song Joong-ki makes an appearance in front of the press for the first time since his marriage announcement with Song Hye-kyo. He will be at the VIP Premiere of the movie "Battleship Island" on the 19th.

 

Along with Hwang Jeong-min, So Ji-sub and Lee Jung-hyun, Song Joong-ki will speak his mind about the movie. There will definitely be questions about his marriage with Song Hye-kyo on the 31st of October. "Battleship Island" is being released on the 26th.

Song Joong Ki Talks About His Wife-to-be Song Hye Kyo

 

 

 

[Dispatch] Actor Song Joong Ki openly talked about his fiancee in public for the first time. He was at the press conference for the movie ‘The Battleship Island’ and though being careful, he politely answered questions about his fiancee.

 

On July 19, during the press conference, Song Joong Ki was asked the question about Song Hye Kyo turning down the Japanese brand (known to be the war crime corporation) model proposal. He replied, “I first heard about it through the media. The first thought came to my mind was a big applause to her. I would have done the same if it happened to me.â€

 

Then he added, “I think it was a common sense. Now, she became the person that I love, and because of that I am more proud of what she has done.†He naturally referred to Song Hye Kyo as ‘the person I love.’

 

 

 

During press conference, director Ryoo Seung Wan was asked the reason behind Song Hye Kyo’s name on the ‘Thanks To’ list at the ending credit of the movie.

 

Director Ryoo said simply, “Song Hye Kyo has sent a coffee truck during filming. We list everyone who has provided us with any kinds of food and beverage on our ‘Thanks To’ list.†

 

 

 

Meanwhile, the movie ‘The Battleship Island’ premieres on July 26.

Song Joong-ki, a soldier again? 'What' is more important

 

 

'I want to be an actor who isn't careless about his social responsibilities or anything else'

 

Hallyu star Song Joong-ki is back with "The Battleship Island". He was in a drama called "Descendants of the Sun" just a year ago and he was in the movie "A Werewolf Boy" 5 years ago. "The Battleship Island" will also be his last movie before he gets married on the 31st of October. In "The Battleship Island" he takes on the role of Park Moo-yeong a special agent who helps hundreds of people escape from the island.

 

Song Joong-ki said he got the script when he was resting not long after "Descendants of the Sun". It was another soldier role but he didn't mind. He would just have to act as differently as possible.

 

Hwang Jeong-min, So Ji-sub, Lee Jung-hyun and Lee Kyeong-yeong are his co-stars. "What matters is not the size of my role but what movie it is. My favorite actor is Edward Norton. He is a top star but in "Birdman" he plays a smaller role. That takes confidence and it seems beautiful to me". This kind of thought came from the time he was in the 2011 drama "Deep-rooted Tree" where he made a short appearance as the young King Sejong. "I had no reason not to be in that drama. I liked the role very much".

 

As a Hallyu star, isn't it difficult for him to be in a movie that deals with the sensitive matters of history? "It's not like the movie is based on lies. I became a Hallyu star by being in Korean dramas so I want to be confident in what I do".

 

What did bride-to-be Song Hye-kyo say about this? "She's not the kind to come to my VIP Premiere so I didn't invite her. She's just looking forward to the release date". He claims his father is so happy one of Asia's most beautiful women is going to be a part of his family. Song Hye-kyo is also known as an actress with a conscience and that's why Song Joong-ki loves her.

 

"There's a lot to learn from her, from her behavior to her thoughts. I guessed that's the reason she managed to stay a Hallyu star for such a long time without any problems". Song Joong-ki claims he will be busy with "The Battleship Island" and marriage for the time being.

â–  The restraints of a 'socialtainer'? I'm careful about that

 

He says he's interested in period adventure dramas like "The Battleship Island" and "Deep Rooted Tree". He doesn't mind that he continues to star in them. We asked if he was aware of being shut in the restraints of being a socialtainer and he nodded his head. Influence must also come from Song Hye-kyo who has made several notes in society.

 

"I am careful about the restraints of a 'socialtainer'. I am more careful becase it draws more attention. Still, I wish my urge to let out more creativity gets more opportunities. Of course, the social matters today have eased off a little".

 

He said something about movies based on truths like "The Battleship Island", "A Taxi Driver" and "Fork Lane".

"I welcome these movies. It's not timing but seeing as so many movies speaking the truth are coming out, complaints about the world has increased. These complaints have been let out through movies. It's up to the audience to find out how they feel about them".

 

 

 

â–  I am not obsessed with Yoo Si-jin in "The Battleship Island"

 

He takes on the role of OSS agent Park Moo-yeong. He also played a soldier named Yoo Si-jin in the KBS 2TV drama "Descendants of the Sun".

 

"The making of "The Battleship Island" overlapped with "Descendants of the Sun" at the very end. Still, I wasn't obsessed about my character. I knew that people would evaluate me as Song Joong-ki. I also wasn't bothered. I just wanted to stick to the rules of Park Moo-yeong in "The Battleship Island". I did have to cut my hair and I didn't want to, haha".

 

He admits there might be some restraints when it comes to Hallyu activity because it deals with the Japanese Invasion.

"I need to be more confident for my foreign fans. I don't want to cower. If "The Battleship Island" was not a true movie, I wouldn't have done it because that would be a lie. I agree to some of the worries around me but I want to be proud about it. I don't think I could work if I wasn't".

 

He hopes the movie succeeds.

"First of all, it's an honor to be in such a movie. As part of it, I hope it succeeds but I don't want to say how successful. It would be alright if Hwang Jeong-min says it. Many want the movie to hit 10 million but I won't say anything. I just really want the movie to do well".
