Based on Minzy's friend comment, Minzy leave the group because there is no much activities for her meanwhile YG response is like: Ok, after you leave the group I'll make a comeback for 2NE1 in summer. One thing for sure YG don't care about Minzy feelings with release this statement, the only thing he care about is a damage control. YG family my ass. CL is still in the midst of debuting in America and with summer only a few months away she would have to come back to Korea soon and prepare for the comeback therefore postponing her American debut even longer which i doubt they will do tbh. There was a mistranslation tho. Minzy contract expires on May 5th and they said a comeback "is expected" for the summer without giving any date. Minzy leaving didn't even make me really sad, because I knew something like this was coming. It was inevitable. I am mad that YG would bring up a summer comeback. terrifiedwolves 571 Posted April 5, 2016 Share Posted April 5, 2016 2NE1 was the group that got me into kpop but for some reason I'm not upset about this whole ordeal, probably because I understand Minzy too, like she waited 2 years expecting to do something and time's just running out, she knows CL is going to be super busy with her solo activities so a group comeback in unlikely. Also, didn't YG say 2NE1 was going to enter the US market or something? How'd that go? idk, Minzy leaving is probably the best for her at this point. Actually it isn't new for me because I know Dara said that they are all prepared and Bom spotted outside YG building and went to Philiphine with Dara. Also with their performance in MAMA. I know that Minzy already know they will comeback though. I think YG said that to make the Blackjack not worry to much about the disbanding and whatsover. But I don't think they will be able to comeback on Summer because CL need to debut and success in U.S first. I'll cross my fingers for this.
