[PIC] Bu Bu Jing Xin Korea vs Chinese versions

So much has already been said and the anticipation for the Korean version of the popular Chinese novel is already quite high. Fans of the novel and the Chinese TV adaptation are already weary of the upcoming Korean remake. If the initial fan leaks did not quiet their fears, the latest stills will most likely get their concerns rearing once again. Recent stills were released for three of the princes- Baekhyun as 10th Prince, Kang Ha Neul as 8th Prince, and Hong Jong Hyun as 3rd Prince (9th prince in the Chinese version).

One of the things that made the Chinese version such a success was the visual appeal of the drama. Fans expectations were stirred by the beautiful, initial first looks and the rest they say is history. Unfortunately, the Korean version seems to be doing the opposite, with fans shocked at the poor choice of styling of what now seems to be the final costumes. Of course the eras are different, Qing (China) vs. Goryeo (Korea), but watchers of historical dramas know that Goryeo costumes can look good when done properly - see Empress Ki, and the older, A Frozen Flower.

The costumes look okay. It doesn't pop and they look more like sons of random nobles than leading princes. And please do away with that gross black mesh and use it for a fishing net.

The net is so so so wrong

I swear the costume in Chinese version look way more beautiful, especially when it's winter. It shows the character aura so well and make them standout like a prince. The korean version thoug, the casts itself doesn't look promising to be honest. Kevin Cheng, Yuan Hong, Liu Shi Shi, Nicky Wu, Lin Geng Xin >>>>> the korean casts

i think this was made for the Chinese market only, it has almost no buzz in Korean media. I like to compared, but it seem like the Korean production wasn't even trying to make something legit.

except it's not
