It is very obvious that SM produced and will continue to produce (NCT and White Fox) some of the finest groups in the world of K-pop. Love it or hate it, SM will retain its position as the biggest record label in the K-pop industry. I'm not seeing any company that will take over for at least next 5 years. So, how would rank its groups base on their overall impact (digital and physical sales, fandom power, endorsements, and legacy)?

Note: I just included the groups wherein K-pop reached international success. Also, I do not live in Korea so I'm just doing this rank base on my view as a kpop fan.

Here's mine;

(1st): TVXQ - Asia's Stars and Kings of Kpop!

(2nd): SNSD - Nation's Girl Group. Duh!

(3rd): Super Junior - Sorry Sorry effect everyone?

(4th): EXO - Multi-awarded Kpop boygroup

(5th): Shinee - The ever-fabulous Key ♥

(6th): f(x) - Victoria is the Queen of China

(7th): Red Velvet - ICC and Dumb Dumb is life! ♥

1) EXO

(Need i explain? More impact etc)

2) TVXQ

3) Super junior

(they're considered as jokes)

4) SNSD

(not everybody knows snsd, just cause their fandom is big doesn't mean everybody knows them, fans just like to over hype them sadly)

5) Red Velvet

(They're now above F(x)

6) F(x)

7) Shinee

(Shinee is under f(x) since they're still nugu, while f(x) is also still nugu they still have more public recognition than Shinee, thanks to kai)

1st: SNSD - They have been the number one GG group for 10 years. No other sm group has been able to accomplish such a feat. Their public relevance is insane.

2nd: TVXQ - As you said > Asia's Stars and Kings of Kpop!

3rd: EXO -  Multi-awarded Kpop boygroup, internationally known. That impact though?

4th: Super Junior - Leaders of the hallyu waves

5th: Shinee

6th: f(x)

7th: Red Velvet

I'm terms of impact, imo:

1. SNSD: Ngg, one of if not the most popular kpop groups ever seen over all in Korea especially with public, one of the leaders for expansion of hallyu, extremely popular internationally, considered by many to be the definitive Kpop gg etc

2. TVXQ: one of the biggest bgs ever in Korea, own in Japan too which allowed kpop groups to better infiltrate Japan later on

3. Suju: Huge influence on hallyu, very popular in Korea at their height.

4. Exo: massive in Korea currently and having strong success across asia. Only reason I put them below suju is because they weren't around during the hallyu boom a few years ago which helped kpop become as known as it is.

5. Shinee: very popular in Korea, not so much so with public, quite popular across Asia. But they just don't match up to their the above groups in terms of success or impact IMO.

6. f(X): Very popular gg with fans but not that popular with public. Haven't really had many concerts or toured until very recently.

7. Red velvet: Just starting out

1. SNSD - They and Suju started the Hallyu wave, but SNSD stayed strong and popular while Suju has kinda faded now

2. TVXQ - Kings of pop tbh

3. Super Junior - with SNSD started the Hallyu wave but ever since then have lost popularity a lot.

4. EXO

5. ShinEE & F(x)

6. Red Velvet
