How would you feel if KPop went more into a pop rock sound?

I'm saying this because last night iChu showed me a B1A4 performance:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TC_ET4Tmus

It sounds very One Direction, that cheesy pop rock sound they do. The first time I heard them my friend commented that it sounded like something from Grease and I agreed.

This also bring to mind that lame BAP song that came out a while back that was supposed to be a British rock song. I was thinking Foals or Friendly Fires (how stupid of me) and it ended up being a Korean One Direction song:

Can any one think of more recent examples? I don't really listen to new KPop acts.

You know B1A4 members produced and made that song themselves right...

I don't mind it. But I want I wide range of sounds ....

So I wouldn't want everything to be the same.

What does that have to do with anything?

I like a range of sounds but at least make it good.

Haven't heard of any Korean acts that have recently released a rock oriented sound because they have a tendency to water it down and not actually deliver a rock track. Would definitely like to see a few more groups tackle a pop rock sound but only if they are actually going to deliver on the sound and not water everything down. You should've know better to expect anything like Foals or Friendly Fires from K-pop. Ha!

Hell yes. I'd love it so much. I listen to a lot of metal/rock stuff on the side so to have it be incorporated into k-pop would be amazing tbh.

Depends what kind of pop-rock we're talking about. If it's like peppier One Direction/Anime Opening pop-rock then I'm definitely not here for it.

But if it's like Passion Pit/less teeny-boppy pop-rock? ....I dig it. I mean, that's not too much of a stretch - it got decent radio-play in the States.

I was thinking Foals or Friendly Fires

side note but it'd be incredibly awesome if k-pop actually tried out a song along those lines. I honestly think something like Friendly Fires catchier stuff (Hurting? Show Me Lights?) could catch on if executed well. Or maybe i'm dumb idk.
