Did the ratings go down overall? They need to stop stalling and just crown Sam Maek already. We're been hearing since episode 1 that there's a hidden king, so why are we still waiting for him to come out? That is why the ratings aren't going up.

No, the ratings increased from the previous eps, which its from 7.9%  :hurr:

Ehhh...if it was me in real life I'd still choose Sam Maek because at least he doesn't ignore her whenever he feels like it. The way Sunwoo just ignores her conveniently is damn annoying, he's a terrible communicator as well. (My opinion).

I think the writers did a great job with Sam Maek in making him at least slightly forceful - he's a king. You'll never hear of a legit king who doesn't get the exact woman he wants. It's unrealistic enough that Sam Maek even begged her for anything, or offered to give up his position for her. Absolutely shocking.

Um, I didn't thumb you down. Not that I have anything against negs, I mean look at my rep, but anyway I'm just saying.

The ratings has gone down. It reached 11% in the second half of the series and went back down to 10, 9,8...7 and 8. This drama was given a chance by viewers but the writing really killed any chance it had to maintain the momentum they gained at the start of the second half so viewers went to watch defendant and other stuff. The core fans from the beginning still seems to be watching tho.

I feel bad for the cast because their was no real acting controversy aside from go ara/princess so for a young cast it means that they all did their job well. Its just that the writing really failed them. Had the writing been good this drama would have gotten them a lot more popularity.

From this dratted table, the general trend seems to go downward. idk. http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Hwarang:_The_Beginning/Episode_Ratings

Yes they seemed to be down when I looked at them. I am enjoying this drama but I can understand that other people may have watched it for different reasons. A lot of people wanted more scenes in the Hwarang House and more interactions between the boys. But I enjoy the general storyline, and going in I had no favorite actors or boyband members that I wanted to see. The only thing that delays my watching Hwarang is other stuff I have to do in real life.

It is called "The Beginning" which probably means they were planning on having more than one season. But I don't know if that can actually happen? It seems like they are just using the first season to set up the story...not sure if that's the best idea.

Thanks for the pictures, Ara looks so pretty.

Even if it's Nielsen, it looks like last week the show was 13th place and this week it was 17th...so that's what I meant. However I'm glad at least the numbers have gone up. This is a great show overall, I am surprised the ratings are not at least a 10-average.

That's okay it was done by some insecure person that can't handle an opinion that's different from theirs, I guess. It's no big deal. This drama isn't reality, unknown person and you would probably gag at the sight of the real King Jinheung, I'm sure he looked nothing like Hyungsik.😆 Edited by Thangs

Knetz are mad about the progress of the storylines. Im glad that they at least know that its the writers fault and not the actors.

yeah knetz also gets desperately wanna see the king to rise  :._.:

The storyline............Lawdee, it's not progressing and I'm only watching the drama now because of the man with the limp and Ban Ryu and Soo Yeon other than that I would've dropped this drama.

Things that should've been reveal around episodes 12-14 are now being revealed. I knew when the man with the limp first appeared in the drama I knew he had something to to do with Moo Mung/Sun woo and when the man who raised him told Ah Ro's dad that he unlocked the Sun woo's destiny, It clicked to me that he might be a a peasant after all. Ah Ro is annoying, she has her good points but her damsel in distress syndrome override those points.

It was obvious to me( idk about anyone else) that H was going to die in this drama, I'm expecting 1-2 more deaths.  I think the writer spent to much time on the Ji Dwi/Ah Ro/Sun woo love line trope( They don't really have chemistry). Ban Ryu and Soo Yeon's love line is more endearing and entertaining.

To me this drama is lowkey all over the place and predictable. Next week is the last two episodes and I'm wondering how will this drama wrap up somewhat decently.

If Sunwoo really is the king, that would be too predictable to be true and a huge fail on the writers' part

I am inclined to think that Mr. Limp is actually lying because he wants Sunwoo to take the throne for his own selfish reasons.

FMV

Literally the best thing on this drama. Sam Maek Jong and Dog Bird.

It's not a right thing watching this ep in the morning.

Hansung

I know some people predicted this but not with Dansae killed Hansung, it's tragic. And it happened out of the blue (since the background story was not their focus, his sudden death seems so out of place)

-I don't care anymore about who would be the king, i'm pretty sure it's still for Jidwi.

-If they care so much about the leads' romance for like 16 eps, these 20 eps are not enough.
