redline sohye's company has a negative image as being the company that forced a girl to do 19+ movies and sohye still made it into the group

mbk also has a reputation as a company that has lots of controversies but chaeyeon still made it into the group, and likewise t-ara is very popular in china but that didn't mean dani and heeyun made it

fantagio isn't even a well known company unless you follow actors which i doubt many people do that watched produce 101 and yoojung and doyeon still made it into the group

and well you wish sixteen would have never happened because that's the only way we wouldn't know somi

m&h is super nugu company but chungha still made the group

basically company has nothing to do with

People will find out. Knetz can be quite the detectives

you give knetz too much credit

a lot of trainees have gone thru multiple companies tbh....so even if they dig in they might get 'confused' what that trainees current company is at....

even with them posting it online.....it's not a 'confirmed' thing without official statements....not that different from speculations....it would be still tagged as "rumored Jellyfish trainee" "rumored YG trainee"....what if that girl was a jyp trainee two companies ago? even if knetz dig photos of her training in jyp how sure are they she is still in jyp

I get what you mean but that would just be almost impossible to put into place. Because you can really see their bond in the show (the girls from the same company, though they form other friendships too). The girls would have to be too careful of what they say and how they act around other trainees tbh. Unless there's just 1 girl per company.

But even then, I doubt any company would want to send their trainees if that was the rule. Through the show, it's not only the trainees themselves who gain notoriety but also the companies. It's a good publicity for them in a way.

So yeah though it would be interesting I don't think it would ever happen...

That would make it interesting for the fans and detective netizens to figure stuff out but the companies want the promotion and unless their name is attached to a trainee they won't get it so it doesn't benefit them.Hence why people can be excited for happy face trainees and kconic Trainees yet most can't recall those girls name.

Interesting question, as the rumours go, Produce 101 had trouble finding 101 trainees, SM & YG didn't send a trainee for one reason or another... I suspect that the next edition Produce 101 (Girls) will not have the same problem... The problem will be how they fight them all off... In the IOI group, 6 of the 11 places were taken by 3 agencies who were not from tier 1, imagine if you will if JYP, SM & YG had sent 3 trainees each like MBK.. with the size of tier 1 agency fandoms, what would the chances have been to unearth hidden gems like Chungha, Sejeong, Yoojung to name a few...

Ultimately, it's not which agencies participate but the quality of the trainees they send... The challenge is how MNet handles participation since the attraction to me was the breadth of talent seen and the fact that 10 of the 11 places were open...

I think it would be worse people would only now about the companies of the popular trainees or trainees that have been kinda promoted already while the nugu companies would have even less chance to shine we knew the girls from PLEDIS,, DSP, JYP, LOEN, jellyfish (sejeong) some Fantaggio girls so knets would be able to find more information about them but the super nugu  companies would be left out in the dark.

I would be a good idea if we didn't know none of the trainees from before the show
