This is pretty much the situation for every entertainment industry in the world. Kim So Hye got her spot because she got people's attention. I feel sorry for people who train for years and not become successful in the entertainment industry but the reality is there is only so much room for how many people to be celebrities. If people don't root for you or you have a hard time attracting fans, hard work or skills are pointless... Unless you break the mold, be different, all the same time with majority of the public LIKING whatever sets you apart, can only a star hopeful stand out. What kind of disappointed me with Produce 101 is that the girls seem borderline too manufactured as performers (save for Kim Sejung - that girl stands out naturally without even trying + so much heart in her perfs and maybe Chung Ha). A lot of the girls are technically good but in a 'trained' and 'practiced' way that you can tell they aren't very versatile.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Danee 5,049 Posted April 2, 2016 Share Posted April 2, 2016 Because in 10 episodes Kim Sohye got more than 100 minutes (its more than 1 full episode only about her) of screentime while Dani got 9 and Doyeon 3. Its not Sohyes fault and Im not hating on her (I like her actually)... I just find it funny how the same people who writes post like this and support Sohye usually hate on AKB48. Who knows, what if the stock footage they have of Dani/Doyeon doesn't present an interesting/intriguing story arc for TV. Out of the top 11 only Chungha and probably Yeonjung made it into the top 11 based off of talent. Both of them didn't fare off well in the votes until their talents shined. Stop spreading this lies and misleading people. That statistic you're quoting is for cuts not minutes and it's only for 2nd elimination (ep 6 & 7) not the whole show. kardeylann 2,755 Posted April 2, 2016 Share Posted April 2, 2016 I liked top 11 but actually not tv viewers the producers are choosing the top 20 with giving more screen time to some girls!..they choose their favourites and make people see them more than other girls so you also focus on them... and I actually think putting them in a raw as winner, 5th, 10th is not right...not only Somi other girls also won but even before debut the names at front row take more interest than the members at back row..ıt would be better ıf fans decide the favourites after they really debut based on their song performance, MV, their act as a group...ıt would be better ıf they debut in same value. skcebl 5,968 Posted April 2, 2016 Share Posted April 2, 2016 The final lineup is actually full of talent. 9 of 11 were graded A at some point. 8 ended with A, Somi had the B. The two without A's were Chaeyeon and Sohye. Getting promoted does wonders. Chaeyeon was in DIA, was poorly promoted, she was a nugu. She's on Produce 101, gets exposure, and now people are saying she has an aura and she's a top tier visual. She has the same face she had in DIA. Sohye got promoted well by Mnet. Personally, I found her story boring after the Sejeong part and it only got interesting again once Sohee started running the Sohye playbook. I do think Sohye's quirky personality is an asset. And then initially for Crush she got Sejeong and others to teach her. She was like the new Sohye when it came to dancing.
