We are now 24 hours away from the ending of the final voting for the group. I bet we have tired many of you, right? At one point, we had to slow down because we were getting everybody fed up with Doyeon. Sorry~ But within the past 6 days, we’ve been able to gather over 600 votes for Doyeon on OH (outside of those who usually did, and mainly thanks to Bosnia_HyunaLover) and this is such an achievement for us. I really want to thank everybody who took the time and used an account (or more) to vote for Doyeon. You don’t know how much this means to us.

Her first official introduction. She caught my attention, but little did I know, I would be hooked

 

Honestly, being a Doyeon stan isn’t easy. I still remember when I first started to support Doyeon; no one here even cared about her. Actually replies I wrote that mentioned her in the main thread were getting downvoted and I still don’t understand why. At first we were probably just 3 who actually noticed her and supported her and slowly we were 5, then 10, then 15 and now there are over 20 people following the Doyeon thread on OH. There are also many people who include her in their final top 11 lineup and this is such a beautiful sight to see for me and probably for all the other Doyeon stans out there.

 

Since the beginning of this round, I’ve started monitoring DC Gall and I realized something… If I had to transpose Doyeon’s situation to kpop, Doyeon is a girlgroup and many other contestants are boygroups and this is a battle of physical sales. Here’s a proper example with GFriend’s latest single: it charted high, won many trophies and is known by the general public, yet their physical album sales are nothing compared to some boygroups’ album sales, even if their songs didn’t reach popularity for the general public. GFriend/girlgroups get the mainstream and public popularity, while boygroups have fandom strength. Doyeon is just like that; she’s one of the most mainstream trainees, one of the trainees with the most views on her fancams, one of the trainees with the most likes on her pictures, one of the trainees that a majority will add in their top 11, yet… her actual fandom cannot rival fandoms of girls who are less mainstream than her. Because many like her, but not many truly love her. And that’s how I figured out that being a Doyeon stan, even in Korea, was hard.

Little fact: Doyeon was a cheerleader before becoming a trainee, she has always liked dancing and performing

 

If I have to confess…. I ended up giving up my hopes that she will be in top 11 on Friday. When I see the efforts Mina stans are putting, when I hear my friend say that they have a Chinese Pinky support group that has over 250 members just in the chat and that they have multiple accounts to vote for her (5000 votes in 2 days wow!), when I see the rise of Sohee, when I see the votes the other trainees got last time and so many other things… I feel like this little fandom of this mainstream girl cannot do much next to all this. 

Truly, I’m ashamed to be this invested in a show and even in a person. It’s my first time, honestly. And rationally, I shouldn’t be this distressed over this situation, but I’m being irrational. In the end, more than for myself, I want to help this girl debut, because in my eyes, she's ready, she has something to bring to this group (and no, it's not her beauty or her dorkiness, but her stage presence and even if she would never be a main dancer, or a main singer, she's a reliable and stable performer which every group needs for balance, imo).

In the end, even if I have lost hope, I cannot stop voting for her or stop asking people to vote for her, because if I do, I will have regrets. At least, I’ll know that I and all of Doyeon’s stans went all out for her.

 

There are just "2 days" left for votes, for a total of 24 hours. If you have a vote or more to spare now and/or in 12h+ and want to help us push Doyeon, I beg you, please do it. Please help make what seem like a miracle happen.

Honestly, she, Pinky, Chaeyeon and Kim Nayoung were done dirty by mnet LOL they were super high but where's their screentime? nowhere... It's only now that Pinky and Kim Nayoung fell out of top 11 that they are giving them screentime. I'm guessing they are lowkey trying to push her out? Idk

I'm rooting for her as well. I voted for her regularly when you were able to vote for 11 trainees. I'm hoping she made it to the final lineup. :)

Thats why I suspect mnet editor is 40 yold unmarried ahjumma being jealous with all that visual line lol. Is that 8 of 10 lowest screentime is the one who made it to top 22? Must be headache for them lol whatever how hard they trying to buried all of that gems they will keep shining.
