no @ ring ding dong (i agree with shinee in general, but not that song specifically)

take it from the official kpop music snob himself

he's got really great taste, i think most people who are into music in an academic sense would agree with a lot of his opinions, myself included

also, my dad is a musicologist, and this is the only kpop song that's ever impressed him thusfar:

It depends on what kind of music snob we're talking. If a group excels in dancing, you'd probably want to show off a live performance of one of their songs. If it's a singer, you can get away sometimes with showing the song itself and maybe a translated video. Some people will be receptive to new things, and some won't, but imo a true music lover will take the time to give it a try. A music snob is someone who confuses their close mindedness and personal taste for having "standards".

Just stay away from the corny shit. You can probably get away with showing things off like the live stages for BEG's "Sixth Sense", a lot of BTS stuff, FX's "4 Walls", etc.

Lim Kim - Awoo

Loco - Hold me tight

Zion.T & Crush - Just

Bigbang - Bae bae, Bad boy

Stellar - Vibrato, Sting

Taemin - Drip Drop (very experimental even for western standards), Sexuality

Humming Urban Stereo ft. Narsha - Bullshit

Gain - Paradise Lost

Jay Park, Zico & Dean in general.

The full Reboot album by the Wonder Girls is very impressive too, it's objectively a good album and not even a music snob can deny that hahahaa

The same goes for f(x)'s Pink tape, Red light and 4walls, starting from 4walls because it's more western sounding. I've gotten some of my friends into Papi and 4 walls, and they're a bit weary of Asian music.

People first tend to understimate korean artists because they're korean, so the first video I show them is, generally, Sohyang's live performances in Immortal Song (people get really impressed on her performance of Fate and Arirang Alone). Then I show them Hyukoh songs like Mer (my favorite from them) and then I show my overall favorites. I've been showing these songs to a lot of "non KPOP fans" and they really enjoyed, some of them even became interested in Korean and Asian culture and music in general because of that, which was really nice since non of my friends liked KPOP a few months ago. :)
