I like that blue color! I want to dye it blue as well but currently my hair is damaged   I'm worried if coloring will ruin it further.

is it damaged by bleaching or just coloring

bleaching ruins your hair hahah, and ive done it some times either way, but if your just coloring i dont think it wont get alot ruined,..

but im not awesome at this

My hair are still bright purple after 3 months so I think it was pretty sucefull.

Since i am mixed, there was a few more steps then usual. (straighten, bleach, perm, keratine)

Honestly it's all bout how good the brand is. Don't use a demipermanent. It will be gone in 2 week.

Moisturise, moisturise moisturise.

Your hair is going to be so fried if you want it blue cause you'd have to bleach your hair.

Don't towel dry too roughly. It'll frizz your hair up. Put a bit of oil (e.g. coconut, argan, almond, olive, etc...) and other moisturising product into your hair after lightly drying. It will restore some shine and put some life in it.

Eh, the more unnatural coloured your hair is, the more you'll need to style it (else it looks like a fucking broom).

Edit: oh this is post dyeing treatment.

Tbh, i find that after dyeing my hair really light, it's way less frizzy than before when it was au naturel. Might just be me though.  :imstupid:

I've never colored nor bleached my hair before, but I don't know recently my hair's just become very coarse. My brother suggested me getting bald first so the new, more healthy hair can grow, but I don't like getting bald.

I'm still consulting with my friend. She has colored her hair many times. She told me I should take a hair treatment before coloring it.

i had purple hair and it faded to lilac so quickly... if you want to keep it that blue you have to get out some serious $$$ on hair products

oh god ik just bleaching my hair and coloring at a saloon costs me about 2500 kr = 200 dollar

but yeah, ill buy the color and do my hair at my home at least once a month

My hair is dip dyed blue/turquoise :D

It will go green/fade if you leave it too long, so get it touched up about 5-6 weeks after.

Definitely use colour protecting shampoo.

Try not to wash your hair too much or it will fade super quick. Only wash it when it needs to be washed.

Invest in a good brush, it gets trickier to brush once dyed (especially if you bleached it first).

Wear a swimming cap if you go swimming.

If you're touching up at home:

cover any part of skin that you're likely to get dye on (such as the forehead, back of the neck and ears) in vaseline/petroleum jelly first. It's an absolute bitch to get off unless you do this. I learnt my lesson with this one the hard way. Went around with a blue neck for about 5 days xD.

I have green hair rn (not all over)

Make sure you get a good colour shampoo to slow the fading, I can't rec any brands cos I got a supermarket own brand one but even that has kept it going since October. I use Argan oil for keeping it moisturised, you can get Argan oil in conditioners and shampoos these days. You can also get little bottles of it that you can put directly on your hair. Things like coconut oil works too. Don't put the colour on as soon as you bleach it cos it can damage it pretty bad. Don't wash your hair too often cos it will dry your hair out and strip it of it's natural oils, you esp need those oils after dyeing to keep the hair from going brittle.

Have never dyed my hair before. Would like to dye it a color like pastel pink or ice blonde, but they would look terrible with my skin color.

And that's a nice blue. I like that it's a darker blue instead of lighter. And it might have less damage to your hair cause you won't need to use as much bleach.

I'm 21, since I'm 11 I color my hair haha.

I am born with long black hair, I dye it on cherry red, fire red, yellow, purple, zebra...

Since August 2015 I got half natural (black) and half random rainbow. (turquoise/green/pink/purple/red/yellow/peach)

my hair is not damaged, I always use hair mask etc. They are long, colorfull and brillant haha. ~ ♥
