I LOVE it! I didn't get much of a chance to play it cause school and the need to get three stars on all the other course but it's SO rad

200cc is fierce omg. we could always host a tournament for the 1H players one day. I usually play with Rosalina or Peach or _{baby peach} (dang you 200cc). and usually i have the set kart and wheels and i usually switch it up with the tanooki or mktv parasols. buuuut i'll mention the kart and wheels later once i remember it. D:

 

I made an MK8 thread and wanted to make a tourny, but there was hardly any interest D=

 

 

Don't hide ur love for Baby Peach! I use Gold-Pink Peach =} Best Character, but I also switch it up with a different coloured Shy-Guy or Wendy =} and sometimes Tanooki Mario~

 

Now that Villiger and Issabella are out, I also use them from time to time.

I AM DOOOOOOOONE!!!!!!

i finally got the 10,000 coins needed to unlock the golden glider!

 

which means...

 

i have all the machine parts, all the stamps, and all the golds (three stars) on all the cups in all the ranks

 

I CAN FINALLY MOVE ON

jesus christ those stars on 200cc were extremely painful, though not as much as the hours online collecting those coins.

 

 

 

by the way, i joined the Splatoon global test fire thing that happened earlier today. it was fun and really smooth but i was so awful at it, lol. i already have it pre-ordered so in a few days imma be honing my ink splatting skillz (and forgetting the painful few weeks i spent racking up coins in mk8)

 

I still don't have the golden glider lol, I just can't be bothered with the non-online portion of the game lol

 

And I was so excited for the Splatoon global testfire, but I spent the night at a super cute boys house yesterday so I missed it lol

 

I joined the one before it though and really liked it!

i got lucky. the cute boy i was going to meet caught a cold so we rearranged for later (giving me splatoon time)

 

you can get the golden glider through online ne. you just have to collect 10000 coins. you can check how many you have on the main menu... though unless you've been expressly collecting them for a while you probably don't have that many (even playing most of a day i couldn't get more than 1000 coins due to the roughness of online matches)

 

what weapons are you liking from splatoon?

i think he charger is awesome but it's hard to use and I haven't had time to get used to the game yet, so I'm pretty bad at it. like the tactics around the shooters, but i didnt like the mini's design (but those bubble shields online x_x). the roller feels great but i'm not a fan of that playstyle so much (i like fighting and being a part of the action)

 

I've been playing Mario Kart for a while I think I might be close but IDK

 

For Splatoon, Splatershot Jr. is my favourite weapon, my least is the charger, the main problem is that it's obviously a long-range weapon, but it doesn't have any kind of zoom-in sight so it's hard, plus I don't think it has auto-aim unless you're using gyro controls I believe, but...fuck Gyro controls lol, it had a really cool sub-weapon tho!

 

Splatter shot Jr.'s shield was awesome but I always panicked when I got it and activated it at the wrong time lolol wouldn't hurt for it to be longer too.

 

Splatter shot was...okay, I liked it's sub-weapon, but it didn't shoot as fast as Splatter Shot Jr. so eh.

 

Roller had the BEST ult.weapon imo, and it was really fun to just bulldoze people over, but yeah, it's lack of range and stuff, I'm assuming in order to play it properly you just have to wait and camp in ink until the right moment.

 

I can't wait to experiment with more weapons in that game, this looks especially interesting

 

 

I preordered the game too! GAME had an offer where you could also get all the three amiibo with it for £60 so I was like...eh, why not? but I'm trying to switch to digital only games and it's going to be a pain lol

 

Yeah I got the golden kart and that was enough for me lmao. Cbf going for the glider, too lazy to grid  Is Splatoon really that fun? at first I have really no interest in getting it at all since I suck at FPS  but I guess I'll wait for the reviews~

 

It's not a first person shooter, it's a third person arena shooter, the aim of the game isn't to kill your enemies, it's too fill the arena with ink, so even if you suck you can still contribute to your team by just inking somewhere where there isn't much fighting, you should've joined in the global testfires, you could've got a feel for the game~

Oh ok cool thanks guys! I guess I'll wait and see and I dunno how you can go digitally only on Wii U especially since the internal memory is so low  I only have Mario Kart digital and that was only cuz it came pre-installed haha, all my other games are physical

Do you mean external hardrive? Cuz I looked at some of the games on the eshop like Batman is like 19gb o.o

 

Yaya, whatever it's called lol

 

My external hardrive is like 500GB I believe, so I don't have any trouble, plus it's soo convinent, I always lose my game discs and that, and it's often a pain to get them anyway, this way, I got nothing to worry about =}

Haha fair enough, do you have to connect a seperate power plug though or is it just plug and go?

 

You plug it into your Wii U, with the USB ports at the back (or at the front, but that's where my Gamecube extension is =}) and that's it, actually with the Wii U in particular, you need a Y-cable in order to make it work or else it'll try to format your hard-drive but because it doesn't have enough power or soemthing it'll just stay on the loading screen forever

!!! I played till 5AM (thank you, insomnia!) I finally got to level 10 and called it a day, I also almost complete solo mode and got.this badass gun, I think it's called the mg autozpray, either way I'm in love, I actually win games now!

ugh i always get stuck with bad ppl on ranked. That or I'm just really bad lol. But I just unlocked the golden aerospray so hopefully I can rack up more points in turf war. 

 

Golden aerospray is my favourite weapon! The only bad thing is it's sub-weapon isn't that great,but yeah I always get 1000+ points in Turf wars with it, and around 800-900 if I lose. Silver Aerospray has a better sub-weapon, the seeker is BOSS.

 

Oh, but if you got the golden aerospray that means you finished Story Mode, right? Cause omg the final boss was KILLER.

Nintendo just announced Fatal Frame Localisation at E3!

Fatal Frame playthrough at E3 only the second chapter, it wasn't so much scary as it was disturbing, there's a mecanhic that allows you to see a persons final moments, how they died and that made me feel really uneasy lol (in a good way!) in the 21:00 mark specifically.

 

It looks like this game won't have English VOs, just Japanese VOs with Eng subs

Got Ryu and Roy for Smash...they're okay, kinda expected something drastically different from Roy since every says he's OP lol but he's pretty similar to the other swords users and Ryu's 'proper' commands are so hard to do on the analog stick tbh, WHY doesn't Nintendo allow us to use D-pad in a 2D fighting game???

 

 

The sword users act very different from each other tho! Other than Lucina/Marth and Pit/Dark Pit lol but yeah he shares some moves that are somewhat similar to Marth and Ike, but he's powerful, it's cool~

 

Well, I'm assuming the reaons they don't use the d-pad is cause it works really differently than other 2D fighting games, there's a lot of platforming elements in this game that feel more natural with a analog stick, I can't imagine moving as smootly with the D-pad lol but yeah, Ryu's moves are a bit different, I tihnk they're easy to do once you get into the swing of thing, I got Shakunetsu Hadoken down first cause it has the easiest visual indicator, all that red~

Yeah I just don't really like the short range of swords haha, kinda wish they put Ephraim instead since at least he uses a lance lol

 

Well I have no problem using the d-pad on the Wii Remote and in face probably play better with it since it's more precise tbh. I just wish we could use it on the gamepad too

 

Yeah, Roy was yawn, but he has his fans from Melee I guess, I would've preferred pretty much anyone else, but ehh at least his art looks good.

 

I only use the d-pad on the Wii remote, but 99% of all the games I play, it works better with the Nunchuck, at least for me,it's the opposite of precise for me, but eh, different stroke I guess.

Does anyone have Yoshi's Wooly World? I bought it and I'm playing it with my 11 year old sister, it's a lot of fun, really hard to 100% as well! I only stopped playing with her today cause it's Pop vs Rock in Splatoon Splatfest, #Pop4Life

 

Also, I just noticed Ocarina of Time is on the WiiU eShop, pretty cool! I could never finish it on the N64, so amybe one of these days I'll buy it on eShop and try to get past that whales stomach.
