I wonder why gamers never get famous well... you have to define "famous" If you mean in the closed bubble that is e-sports fans, I can start listing people (olofmeister, faker, huni, reignover, forgiven, yellowstar, pronax, pashabiceps and the list goes on and on) If you mean like TV famous, I can already mention Hong Jinho and Im Yohwan to a lesser degree. Not sure if you're being serious or if you are referring to a different type of "gamer". Pewdiepie is very, very famous. There are other famous players too, but he's massive in Singapore, Europe, even in Japan he's recognized on the streets. On Niconico there are two Japanese guys who are widely known in Japan for their retro-gameplays. Just about any 12-16 year old Japanese guy know who they are.
