♪CANVAS♪ 610 Posted March 25, 2016 Share Posted March 25, 2016 The girl group bias thread got me thinking! Do you have a pattern with the idols you end up biasing? Like, are they all rappers/variety stars/visuals/vocals etc? I think my main biases tend towards underrated idols or idols who are less 'feminine' on stage. It isn't even a conscious thing, I tend to automatically select a bias while watching videos and then find out "oh, they're not really that exposed/popular". It was weird when I started stanning Moonbyul and found out that this wasn't the case because she's the biggest 'girl crush' in the group, arguably. What about you guys? I've come across her song 'If' and it impressed me, it was just so emotional and at that very moment it was relatable for my situation too. So that one song made me a fan of Taeyeon, then because I liked her, I decided to give SNSD a listen (I knew about their existence and Kpop's existance but never bothered to check out anything more than Gee and Sorry Sorry). This was just the first step of my love for SNSD and Kpop in general. Taeyeon become my bias because I liked her voice and her solo stuff and she was charming enough to not be topped even after these years. Baekhyun wasn't particularly my favorite EXO member (I didn't have a bias in EXO tbh, even if I was listening to their songs), at first I checked up on him just because he was Taeyeon's boyfriend. Then I found myself fangirling over his performances and cheering for him through the hate he have gotten and just realized that I've grew attached to him. What makes me like him is his voice and his 'charm' (being a bright and precious little shit). What draws me to idols is their voice in general. But as I like a lot of idols' voices, I rarely bias them. It takes some time for me to get attached of idols, it takes something more special than watching them on scene. Which may sound weird but it's unintentional O.o For example my biases are Apink Bomi, Red Velvet Seulgi, Twice Momo, Mamamoo Moonbyul. I realized this from reading this thread.
