Red Velvet Receives a Spotlight from Billboard

Red Velvet’s second mini album â€˜The Velvet’ received a media spotlight from the American Billboard.

On March 21, professional American music media, Billboard posted a news titled as “Red Velvet Explores Their Velvety Side With â€˜One Of These Nights’†on its k-pop column, k-town. The media’s big interest proved the group’s global popularity.

 

 

The media explained in detail, “Red Velvet came back with melancholy emotional new song â€˜One Of These Nights’, which continues the group’s early songs â€˜Dumb Dumb′ and â€˜Ice Cream Cake’. The group’s mournful voice clearly spreads out with orchestra accompaniment and basic base in its title song â€˜One Of These Nights’†and attracted people’s attention.â€

Moreover, the media analyzed, “The members’ harmony was well mixed in â€˜One Of These Nights’ and the title song is one of the group’s most expressive vocal performances to date. Recent hit songs were all great, but this album is also great because it shows the group’s velvety side. Different than the bright image from ‘Red’, the title song continued the path of the group’s early songs â€˜Be Natural’ and â€˜Automatic’. But the song is just as interesting as the group’s early song â€˜Ice Cream Cake’.â€

In addition, the music video of the group’s title song ranked first on ‘K-POP Music Video Chart TOP20’ on YouTube k-pop channel. It proved big attention toward the group from the fans all around the world.

Meanwhile, Red Velvet will show the glamorous stage of its title song â€˜One Of These Nights’ through various music broadcasts such as SBS MTV ‘The Show’ on March 22, MBC MUSIC ‘Show! Champion’ on March 23, Mnet ‘Mcountdown’ on March 24, KBS ‘Music Bank’ on March 25, MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ on March 26 and SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on March 27.
