SM and Spotify

Just a thought. Do you think SM uploading their artists' albums on Spotify right after its local release affects how it ranks on KR music charts? I don't know if there's Spotify in KR, but I do enjoy what SM is doing. Just wondering. What do you guys think?

They only use what ichart shows. Melon, Genie, Naver, etc there is no free streaming like spotify there.

Nah it doesn't count but SM considers themselves a global company. Putting their music on an international platform like Spotify is smart.

If Spotify counted towards charts then there would be songs with so much more longevity, but Spotify is useful for international charting, even though K-artists apart form PSY are never streamed or downloaded enough to chart.
