coward 1,968 Posted March 21, 2016 Share Posted March 21, 2016 so, I'm kinda late to the party, but I just watched last week's episode on VIU with the 1N2D cast and what has happened to this show!?!?! I seriously thought that it was going to be canceled within six months once Misun got the axe. but the last six out of eight episodes have been not just good, but memorable. Glorious Return - not one of the better ones Girl Crushes - AWESOME!! You Rock - not bad, but not really memorable for me Here to Take Over - HIGHLY ENJOYABLE God is Fair - AND THE GUESTS WERE TOP NOTCH The Single Dwellers - GREAT GROUP FOR THE NEW SETUP, really had some highlight moments Villains Special - REALLY FUN GUESTS WHO YOU USUALLY WOULDN'T PICK 1 Night 2 Days - YASSSS YASSS AND MORE YASSSS like seriously, who is casting for this show now? it has to be someone new because they are killing it. this last episode had me dying when they did the "Pick Me" song from P101. apparently it gives strength to middle age men. anyways, is anyone else watching and enjoying this turn around? I'm sorry if you are stuck watching it on KBS World, you haven't seen 7 or 8 yet. 8 is really fantastic. the two casts are very natural with one another. coward 1,968 Posted March 22, 2016 Author Share Posted March 22, 2016 Why did Misun get axed? twice a year (once in spring, once in fall) they review variety shows and that's usually when they make line up changes. last fall, they did a drastic overhaul of HT which saw Misun and Shinyoung (the female half of "carbon copy") leave the show as well as the sauna set. they came back with a set of five male hosts and a moving company concept. well, one of those new guys has already left and the set has also been changed to more of a family living room. The set change is a bad idea for me. Sauna set has been the mark of the show, so I was disappointed that they change it. It also seems JHM replace PMS as the second MC. He’s good tho! And I was shocked about PMS, what the hell happens with his style ! ! He looks like an ahjuma >< . and the girl MC iss no fun ! That show needs a funny female comedian as the new MC. Agree . . . the last episode with 2D1N was really fun. I think it’s because the guests are comfortable with each other and also with the Mcs. The Mcs didn’t say much, instead the guests just told many jokes and stories comfortably. PMS is in a slump right now. He goes through one every so many years like clockwork. They are supposed to be a family, with PMS being the annoying aunt. The single dwellers episode was the first of this set up and they had a little intro them that set up the hosts characters. The intern is actually not bad, but she was the only one who was uncomfortable with the 1n2d cast, so it's not her best episode. To be honest, I kinda like them using an actress. Comedians tend to be greedy for air time which can make it seem like they make every little comment about themselves rather than the guest. Don't get me wrong, I love comedians, but watch one of the other shows with this intern actress. she's really better than you would have expected.
