I am writing a novel now. I need your opinions.

Well now I am writing two characters that are working part time in a chinese restaurant. I don't know whether should I make them work from Monday to Thursday or Thursday to Sunday.

Well those two characters are high school graduates going to college soon

Are they well-to-do or are they poor?

I'm guessing they must be pretty broke if they need a part-time job.

So make them slave their asses Monday through Sunday.

Then again, do whatever you like because it's your story.

they are normal family with no financial problem. They just work there to occupy their time

Okay, and will their work shifts have any major influence on the plot or character interaction?

Actually, just a little bit cos if I choose from Monday to Thursday, I would write that most of their days to would be a breeze cos it is weekdays and most of the people will be eating at home, except for few days, which are public holidays.

If I choose to write from Thursday to Sunday, then I would write that it will be a breeze from Thursday to first half part of Friday. Then, it will be very busy cos many people are going out to eat n celebrate their own celebrations. It is fine during the afternoon since everyone is going to malls to shop but it is chaotic at night since there will be many types of customers.

I think either is fine.

But perhaps the latter would be more interesting?

Thanks, I would choose the latter cos it makes my novel more unique :)

By the way, are you a writer?

You may use a single day that they will meet at work.

they are actually friends who work together in the same shifts

Aw..there is no mystery behind them. People will love it if you play with their curiosity. just my suggestion though.

Thursday-Sunday sounds more interesting, because the weekend is more busy so a lot more could happen then.

Gu long - A happy hero proluoge

-

Guo DaLu’s character matched his name, he truly was a very DaLu person. “DaLu†meant very straightforward, carefree, even a little dense. No matter what the situation, he would not put it to heart.

And yet Wang Dong never moves. [*Dong means motion.]

Straightforward people were usually poor. Guo DaLu was especially poor, ridiculously poor.

He actually shouldn’t have been so poor.

Originally, it could be said that he was a man who had a lot of money. When a wealthy person suddenly becomes poor, there can only be two reasons: One, he was stupid. Or two, he was lazy.

Guo DaLu was not stupid, he could do a lot more than most people, and do them better. For example, when it came to riding horses, he could ride the fastest horse and the wildest horse.

When it came to swords, with one stab he could penetrate iron body armor as well as a willow catkin floating with the spring breeze.
