We're a lot more scrutinized, if we don't fit certain beauty standards. Also, curvy women are not really embraced, because by default skinnier is what is considered normal. I see the attention curvy bodies get in the media, its just another thing to sexualize women with. "Real women have curves" "Men like some meat on their women" etc. Its not because they're beautiful in a pure sense, its more to do with it being sexy, which is a problem, because it promotes the objectification of women with a certain body shape. Mreow~ he's cute ;) Never really thought about it before, there should be more though. I suppose it is up to brands with what image they're going for, they choose who they hire, and maybe the bigger guys just don't get as many or as big modelling jobs.
