Why nobody talk about 2AM’s Jo Kwon had no income for two years but make a fuss about SM income distribution?

Isn't it a common knowledge, an idols don't get a proper payment before they repay their trainee days fee?

======================================================================================================

On the April 11 episode of “Happy Together,†2AM member Jo Kwon revealed he had no income until the 2010 release of the group’s hit song, “Even If I Die I Can’t Let You Go.â€

Having debuted in 2008 and being a constant presence on many variety shows, this fact about Jo Kwon came as a surprise to many viewers. Jo Kwon explained, “I had to repay the fees from my trainee days.†He added, “Many people think I have a lot of money because I appear in many variety shows. But for three years after our debut, 2AM lived in a single room.â€

Jo Kwon continued, “When I thought 2,000,000 KRW (around 1,770 USD) came into my back account after the promotion of “Even If I Die I Can’t Let You Go,†my mom and I cried holding hands. But when I came back to the dorm, I realized it was really 200,000 KRW (around 177 USD). Rather than the money, I was happy that I had finally paid back my debt. With the money I earned for the first time in my life, I paid my own cellphone bill which my parents had been paying for me. After that, the money kept on coming in and I was able to buy my parents a house.â€

This is really sad to read but what does sm have to do with this when he wasn't addressing them? I can understand his position but it's clear situations can be different depending on the company and how things are handled per contract, his issue is or was with JYP not SM. I really don't see the point nor correlation in bringing up another company and money distribution when he's talking about not getting paid at all; just so that your thread can get clicks and put blame where its not needed.....but whatever. We already know how shit SM can be, no need to remind us. And if people want to make a fuss about income for thier faves, they can. Just because someone may have had it worse doesn't mean others arent suffering or that we cant feel bad for them also (fyi must newly debuted idols dont get paid the first couple of years until they earn back thier trainee and debut upkeep / album costs)

And I'm sure people talked about this though, just that some people may have known while others not. Maybe you should stick to the original title and put focus on JYP for treating him and his group members badly: "2AM’s Jo Kwon Had No Income for Two Years"

Korea needs to do something about zero income due to paying back training expenses. It needs to be a portion of earnings withheld. Imagine when you graduate college and start working if the bank then says "OK. You need to pay back your student loan. Every single paycheck in full will be taken by us until it is paid off.'
