GPA only apply on schools and there are so many things you can excel out of it.

I respect a guy who can be a responsible and dependable man who can survive life with or without higher GPA.

of course, GPA doesn't determine how nice of a person he is or how he is going to treat me. Also, I know plenty of people with high GPAs but no common sense or ability to survive in the real world and that's what really matters. no one will give a shit about GPA once you leave school and get a job.

Yes. Grades are just numbers. I know a guy who has a GPA of like 2.5, but he's incredibly smart. He just doesn't learn well with the moronic way the educational system teaches.

GPA only proves how well your mind works with the way school is taught, it is not an indicator of intelligence. Even if it was, human beings deserve respect for moral character, regardless of how intelligent they are.

I respect everyone who deserves it, and I don't base who deserves it on something as irrelevant as a  GPA. If a person has a GPA of 4.0 but is rude or a criminal, they won't be getting an ounce of respect. If a person has a GPA of 1.0, but is kind to others, fair, honest, and all sorts of other good things, I will seriously respect them.

Well, it may not be hard for some people while it might be for others.

My friend only got C's in his first year during high school, but then he went to USA in the second year... and guess what... He only got A's and B's. I am not hating on America, but according to him it was easier to get A's in America than his home country.

However, England on the other hand, got one hell of a grade system. If you get A's in England, I will give you cookies :)

GPA is a good measurement for acivement in classes. But, once you step out of a school environment it doesn't mean diddly squat.

It's about hard work, self improvement, and ability to learn your trade and be the best at it you can.

I respect people with good grades, but good grades do not correlate success.

I work in a highly competitive sales force. The ones with the best GPAs don't always make it. The ones with the college degrees don't always make it. The ones who are highly sociable don't always make it.

But the ones that work hard, make the extra sales call. Prep their pitch. They do make it.

Hard Work trumps GPA in the end

yes. i personally had a classmate in my school and well.. his gpa wasn't even close to 3.0.. YET. He was a really nice guy, respectful towards everyone. was always up on helping out teachers. and was really out of gossips and stupid stuffs..

so i don't see why the gpa has to be a factor to respect a guy
