Question for people that have Grandparents that have passed away

Recommended Posts

Were you upset ?

I have 3 brothers, and every one of them cried, but I didn't feel anything...

I just felt awkward because I had to give them some sort of sad reaction,

and they must have seen right through it.

I've always felt really shitty about this, but I can't help it that I wasn't close with my Grandparents.

My mom's parents both died before I was born~ My dad's are still alive~

However, I did meet my Great Grandmother a year before she died~ I was sad, but I didn't really cry because I only knew her for a short while and we didn't really talk much (she was really old).

For my Grandparents tho, I will be torn TF up~

I was really young when they passed away, so I don't remember much.

There's nothing wrong with not crying or whatever, because not everyone shows their emotions. However, if you don't feel any kind of sadness for their death (maybe even wishing you were closer to them), then that's quite awkward to me.

Iv only seen my grandfather 3 times. He lived in Australia and we live in Canada, dunno why he never called but when he passed all of my siblings and my mother cried, i guess since i barley knew him i didn't have memories to reminisce. I was sad cuz he's my grandpa but i got over it the next day. Maybe i'm just heartless :._.: the last time i cried was when i realized SAO was having a second season and it was....... GGA  :rlytearpls: *kill me now*

Yes, I was really sad. I cried for hours and days after my grandfather died and sometimes I would cry while showering. Just typing this makes me emotional. When my grandma died, I didnt cry as much bc I had to be strong for my month who was a mess. But when I think about her I feel sad and I wish I had told her I loved her before she died. And now I am crying again
