There’s more to him than meets the eye.

Korean singer-actor Cha Eun-woo is best known by the moniker "Face Genius." Eunwoo, born Lee Dongmin, is well-known for his stunning visuals and charming aura, which have captivated millions of fans worldwide. In an interview with the Korean singer and actor, Cha Eunwoo continues to prove that he is much more than meets the eye.

1. Cha Eun-woo is 1/6 of the Korean pop boy group ASTRO.

The True Beauty star traces his roots to the Korean pop group ASTRO. Under Fantagio Entertainment, Eun-woo debuted in the Korean music scene in February 2016 with the single Hide & Seek from their debut extended play Spring Up, alongside bandmates Jinjin, Rocky, Sanha, Moonbin, and MJ. Aside from being the group's visual, Eun-woo is also gifted with the cords, serving as the band's sub vocalist.

2. He debuted as an actor prior to his K-pop debut.

Fantagio Entertainment is well-known in the industry for its acting management. The company's roster includes Seoul Vibe's Ong Seongwu and Kim Doyeon, among others. Fantagio previously handled industry veterans Ha Sungwoo, Jung Ilwoo, and Kim Saeron, too. With their experience and expertise, it's not surprising that Fantagio artists have also ventured into the field of acting. As part of ASTRO's debut project, the six members starred in the web drama To Be Continued in 2015, in keeping with the label's branding.

Since then, Eun-woo has starred as the male lead in four television shows and several variety shows. For his performance in the 2019 series Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung, the star received the Excellence Award.

3. He has an IQ of 142.

Cha Eun-woo is said to have an IQ of 142, which has led to him being dubbed a genius by press sites alongside BTS' Kim Namjoon, Epik High's Tablo, and Block B's Park Kyung.

4. He is a genius in more ways than one.

Prior to his time as a trainee, Eun-woo excelled in both academics and extracurricular activities. He was elected as the student council president and served as a consistent class president every year in his younger years, adding to his many accomplishments. Eun-woo thrived in the liberal arts and sciences, and frequently competed in reading and debate competitions.

The idol was enrolled in an IT class for gifted students in middle school, where he developed an interest in robotics programming. Aside from his academic achievements, Eun-woo was captain of the soccer and basketball teams, too.

5. He is a fan of R&B music.

Cha Eun-woo revealed in his exclusive interview with L'Officiel Philippines that he enjoys listening to R&B and medium-tempo ballads. Peder Elias and Shawn Mendes are two of his current musical influences.
