well from personal experience, my mom was the only person who i felt i needed to get it through to, once i told her everything else really didnt matter, i dont care who finds out these days...

 

i say the best time to go to her is during her down time^^

 

We don't live together anymore so it's a bit hard to talk to her in person but I'll see what I can do.

What do you guys and girls think of the media's portrayal of gay couples? In shows like Modern Family and such.

 

I wouldn't say it's unrealistic but most gay couples seem to follow the woman and the man role. If that makes sense.

Like we will have one guy that is feminine and the other one will be masculine. Same for lesbian couples.

 

I like the couple of Modern Family but then again I don't know many gay couples so this is only my personal opinion.

Yea that's understandable. And I totally get it, but it bothers me that it's almost always a super feminine guy, and what is basically a normal straight guy, or the closeted jock and the flamboyant drama boy. I mean, I'm not really offended or anything, I just wish these stereotypes stop showing up. I'm not an expert on lesbian shows, but I feel like they're rather represented more accurately then gay men.

My favourite couple is Ian and Mickey from Shameless though (US). Mickey is in the closet but at least one is not super feminine while the other is masculine.

Just curious, where there any openly gay/lesbian students when you guys were in high school? There a few gay guys in mine but they graduated...

Me and my other gay friend are the closest there is but neither of us are entirely out.

There are actually a lot of lesbians/bi girls at my school. Makes me jealous cause they're all dating each other 

 

Hum... there were two girls that were in a relationship and then there was this guy that everyone thought he was gay but it was just rumours.

People would talk shit about him all the time :/

 

There was also a rumour about me being a lesbian but welp.
