Hi hi! I'm grey A and also an older fan here. :)

Which can be really awkward in k-pop circles on tumblr where it's apparently very common for people to say you can't like groups if you're older than them. Apparently it's creepy because a lot of fans attribute sexual feelings to biases and things like that? Which confuses me on a number of levels and I'm honestly not sure how many of those are tied into the whole "I'm ace and wtf is sexual attraction idgi" thing. (Not that I judge people who do.. I just don't understand it for obvious reasons.)

Honestly I tend to just stick to my own little corner or find clusters of similarly aged (25-35+) fans to hang out with because of it.

Thought I'd branch out a little and see how Onehally was. Try something new. Jupiter's in Libra so why not, right? Apparently now's a good time to make new friends for me or something like that. I'm a little fuzzy on how that works. Not that into astrology.

PS: @Deep River - The youtube vid in your profile is gorgeous! Her voice is amazing! *o*

Sigh, people are so judgemental. I've been to K-Pop concerts before and I've seen fans who were, no joke, as old as 60. K-Pop really is just music. In fact I think that people oversexualizing idols, sometimes even underaged idols, is extremely disturbing. I think I'll still be jamming to my favourite kpop songs when I'm 80.

My mom's 50 and super into K-pop. It's just good music that she likes, plus she really appreciates the personality of a lot of the groups out there. So I don't get why people can be judgemental for something as small as musical tastes.

I think it's because of people tending to oversexualize idols but.... once again I'm ACE. The amount of interest I have in anything to do with an idol's genitalia is smaller than my bank account ok. ._. It's october and there's 123791234 comebacks this month. I'M SO BROKE RIGHT NOW. and yet trying to figure out if I can squeak in budget for Pentagon's album anyway I have a problem

Considering I've been listening to k-pop for 6 years now... I fail to see this changing anytime in the next several decades. So I'll probably still be listening to kpop by my 80s too.

Questioning here.

For bisexual or pansexual people here, is it normal to go through phases where you're more into one gender/gender identity than the rest? Growing up I always thought I was into men, which I was. I just assumed I was 100% straight despite the fact that I had some sexual thoughts of women (I assumed this was typical of straight women...which I guess maybe is? For the bicurious ones I suppose idk). But lately I've just been entirely uninterested in men, sexually at least. Even to the point where I get sorta repulsed when I see a photo of a naked man. It's impossible for me to be turned on sexually by male imagery (unless it's uh 2 guys going at each other). It's always women's bodies that do it for me. I don't know if it's due to social conditioning where women being objectified is normalized and it's been subconsciously been priming me...

Yes, that's completely normal. Even though I'm pan I have a strong preference for women. Sometimes I'm so uninterested in men that I think maybe I'm just a lesbian, but there are also times where I really like boys and don't really think about girls. It's also possible to be bi/panromantic and homosexual.

  • 3 weeks later...

I'm gay.

Random topic: I've been using Tinder Plus and while I get a lot of matches it has been incredibly difficult to sustain a proper conversation. Sigh! I don't really know how to keep things interesting because some guys reply with the least amount of characters, lol. I noticed that I get more matches in Taiwan/Japan/Singapore than my home country. Strange how that works.

Oh I didn't know this existed

I'm lala and I'm bisexual :) the only bad thing I'm only out to my mom (since she's bisexual too) and online friends but the other people think I'm your local hetero girl, I wish I could fully come out but I'm still a bit scared of people's reaction :/ my country is a bit conservative and homophobic

it was written almost a month ago but still... i have similar situation bc i used to crush on boys and later since middle school on boys and girls. But now i'm 19 and even though i find some boys pretty i don't really want to be with them and if i had to be with someone, it would be a girl or non binary person. I don't even remember when was the last time i had a crush on boy rip

But i think it's possible i just have a preference now... bc i really find most of kpop male idols pretty and it's prob because they don't really look that manly and use makeup ( lol i know it's weird but...) so even though they're men they're still pretty and cute... which where i live wouldn't be possible to see lol ... but still when i see some fans almost drooling (nothing wrong with that) bc someone took off his shirt or bc he thrusts on stage i'm like ??? bc i really don't find it sexy at all

Actually making a post in this thread is a big deal in itself for me. I've always assumed that I was as straight a ruler with the occasional girl crush here and there. But in the past month or so I've finally opened myself to the possibility that I'm bi, though I'm not too sure what the difference between bi and pan are.

Bi is attraction to both genders, pan is attraction to ppl regardless of gender, which means you can be attracted to people who are intersex or who identify as non-binary (neither gender).

hey so my friend says she's asexual but she has a crush on another girl? i think this is the right place to ask but if u r asexual doesn't it mean u r not attracted to anyone sexually? My friend likes this girl both romantically and physically

Asexual means you're not interested in anything sexual. You can have a crush on someone without wanting to do anything sexual with them.

she wants to do sexual things with that girl tho, I said in my post she is also sexually attracted to her. she tells me she's asexual, but she has a crush on this girl both romantically and physically. she tells me she wants to kiss this girl and that she feels sexually attracted to her. so, by logic, if she's sexually attracted to this girl, and not interested in guys....isn't she lesbian ???

Is this crush of hers the exception? As in she's the only person she's really had sexual feelings for? Your friend may be greysexual then.

yes but she has had a crush on this girl since the 6th grade....since she was young, and never stopped having crush on her, so its hard to see if its an exception or not since she has liked this girl since we first even became aware of physical stuff since we were so young. i think she might be greysexual tho, u r right

thanks for answer guys
