Well, they are many (really a lot) dance or hip hop focused groups already, like 90% of male idols are doing some kind of hiphop variation or are dance focused (EXO, BigBang, Block B, iKon, BTS, BAP etc etc), but what about people like me that are not into that? We deserve a group like Winner, it is unfair that, with the amount of choose they have they also want Winner, I find this selfish. Don't get me wrong I want to see Winner dance or sing diffent type of music from time to time but I want Winner to stay Winner, I like their color and song just the way they are now and if you want a hip hop group or a dance group go and choose one of the many and leave Winner for the rets of us. YG It's not Winner nor fan decide which track they should release but the one and only one ...YG Winner's member has personality and taste of music, it's would be amazing if they can try different kind of music. Mino is more hip hop and Seungyoon is more rock, while Taehyun is good at ballad. While not saying about solo now, because they still need working on the group, so it better if they can show all of their color. They also said many time that they like to try, and want to do different kind of music, that why they are excited to release an upbeat song in their concert. Even they do different kind of music , I do believed and many times already confirm that they will always have their own color. Even do a hip hop song, Winner will make it with their own style. If fan just simply want a hip hop, upbeat group, they will not stan Winner at the beginning, they will stan another group, it will be more simple. People want that because that's what draws the biggest fans into fandoms and they want Winner to be considered a top group. Just releasing ballad type songs that just makes you want to chill and think might get you praise but it won't grow a huge fandom. At least not for idols. This!!! Winner themselves said they want to do any kind of music and we as fans know how versatile they are since WIN. I want them to have a hip hop song too, that would be cool but the thing that made me become a Winner fan in the first place has never been their hard choreos or hep hap-ness lol I like their sound, their voices, their color and how well they blend together. They should make the music they want (and it's so obvious that they want to do more than just sad love songs lol) I don't care about the genre as long it's good but I also don't want them to stick with just one genre. They cant avoid that genre forever and Winner is ultimately a group with no specific genre. They pride themselves in their versatility so to be versatile they should be able to do upbeat songs too and of any kind of genre. Mino loves HH so it makes sense that Winner should at least do some HH/rap songs. Not for the sake of following a trend but for the sake of them doing music they like. Come on I am sure they wanted to do HH songs in the past having someone like Mino in the group. But they can still do it with their own color. cant wait for X! WINNER's style is mature & they've yet to release an up-beat dance song like 97% of other idol groups has thus they have trouble bringing in younger and international fans. It's great that with their style they've managed to gather a good size of young & international fans tho. It's not those people being selfish at all, just not use to an idol group like WINNER who has a mature image and releases music that isn't your standard KPOP group & especially being a YG group that has no club-banger. Their music is mellow & I think that for now that is a good start & balance for all 5 who brings in a very distinct personality and genre of music. NTH w/his ballads, EDM, House, etc. SeungHoon w/R&B Jinwoo w/GD or Pop KSY with Rock MINO w/Rap TBH I think 80% of OH's ICs are more selfish than those people, the whines before WINNER came back was mostly the fear of WINNER losing fans or the # of fan sites closing down... i cant at that even being used as an argument or whatever. Who cares if WINNER loses fans while on a hiatus, as long as they keep releasing music I know i'll wait and support them. I dont need the # of fans, etc to re-assure myself or others that WINNER is slaying, they only need to slay my ears. TBH I can't stand 85% of OH's ICs. YG isn't going to give up on them, face it, they're a boy group who can rake in more money than a girl group will on a general basis & YG nor has their fans seen what their ceiling is. I cant w/all this paranoia, BB flopped on their debut & YG didnt stop. YG's a music company, yes their goal is to make money & they've invested A LOT of time & money into WINNER as they did to all their acts, you dont just rise to the top and remain there w/that weak of a mindset. It takes some times to build a group & longevity success doesnt come over night. please tell YG that..that's what ICs want tho.. IIRC weren't OH's ICs crying about WINNER's lack of appearances on varieties/TV? lack of love? favoritism? appreciation? "better promotion"? Seems like OH's ICs wants A LOT of things...
