Nowadays, wonwoo says he's closer to hoshi while mingyu is closer to minghao so sad. I feel like it's because fans kept on asking them about the shipping so they got uncomfortable. Wonwoo seems especially uncomfortable but who knows. This is long so I put it in a spoiler: Umm yeah, I think part of their distance is for all those questions fans keep asking and made them, Wonwoo especially, uncomfortable and careful with the things and actions they do in public. I mean, at the beginning was probably something awkward-fun, but if they continuosly keep asking related question to a ship, when they could ask about friendship, daily things, hoobies, etc...about yourself, I would feel like fans don't care much about myself as person and only see me as part of the ship they like (and is really awkward if people really believe you and your friend have something going on, when it's not the case)Imagine you are only are staring at someone as they talk because that's the correct and polite thing to do, but fans only see 'oh, they love each other, that stare is one full of love'? I know some fans only joke, but others really think like this! Other part it's that they have...expanded their personal circle, grown up? For example, Wonwoo after debut, has like opened more with others? Is not much, but Vernon, Chan and Seungkwan (this are the ones I remember) had said in some interviews that before debut Wonwoo gave them the impresion of just a cold person but is not like that anymore. And you have to keep in mind that they're really opposites from the other: Mingyu is extrovert and Wonwoo introvert, Mingyu wear his emotions in sleaves (not in a Seungkwan's way) and Wonwoo don't, Mingyu is really touchy and affectionate with everyone (since pre-debut) and Wonwoo despite liking the members, would do skinship with just a few ones sometimes, and is nothing of the style Mingyu (fanservice king) does (Hoshi and him don't have much after debut and they good friends) (woah...Why I thought of polar...) But don't take those answers seriously, half of that is Wonwoo's sense of humor and the other is he telling not so indirectly to fans that he doesn't like those sort of questions. I saw one where someone asked him with who he will marry in hip hop unit (if the member were a girl or if he was a girl, I don't remember well, but one part will be a girl) and he put 'I don't like it'. So is the kind of question itself and not the member, in most of the cases Mingyu, what he doesn't approve. Ah! but they're still friends, they might not show it or spend a lot time in public with the other, but they have those little gestures, actions and a caring way of talk about the other, that say more about their actual relationship than what fanservice could. Just the though they keep doing things that evidence they know each other well (in Manila fanmeet Wonwoo could tell Jeonghan was personifying Mingyu by just seeing him walk in a cool way, or when Mingyu said in their Vapp anniversary party that Wonwoo keep using him as model...) and get along well, make me happy for them and their friendship (that come first than the ship) hahaha i love OTP like this tho (i mean i can´t have wonkyu because siwon is on the army so i'm replacing with meanie ) Wonwoo tsunderere rules! I don't understand why it has so many haters. Shipping it's a game but i see rants all the time asking to stop shipping. Makes no sense. Yeah! Shipping it's fun, I still ship them but some shippers are really something else, so I can see why people are getting kind of angry... I know the ship has some really bad haters, but the majority of people I have come through don't dislike the ship, just the extreme thing the shippers do, like those questions. It's fun but there's not need for them to get an direct attack of questions about if the other is your darling, honey...and more, especially after one of them has expressed his dislike to those questions. They had a birthday/anniversay party for the first year after debut on 26/05 (sorry I couldn't find the video on youtube, but it's in their V app channel, you can check there) and at some point (actually it's on the begining of the video) they were saying what things they see themselves doing in ten years in the future. They are my top favourites in Seventeen (even though all of them are adorable) Meanie is cuteeee Their fmv were of great help for me. When I was starting the process of getting the members name right with their faces, I saw one of them and it helped me a lot to not confuse them 😊 . I was actually confused between Wonwoo and DK, and also between Joshua and Mingyu >< I really like the fmv, sometimes I find myself watching the same ones again and again XD Why is this thread so quiet? I really late reply but today I was searching in the Wonwoo tags after a long time and this thread was second in the tags order My favorite FMV its like 90% editing skills but the song, lyrics and photos made me love it As to why its quiet in here...dunno Last year there wasn't a lot of interaction (in public) between them, but I'm happy that since the last months of it, Wonwoo seems comfortable to approach Mingyu in front of cameras Soulmates I ship them so hard.
