Ugh Beta, he literally sounded like he was straight yelling. He definitely needs to improve his vocals. Delta would have been a much better choice to do the belting, and why does Fie get no close ups? Plus why did it sound like him, Jeta, Gamma, and Code were lip synching? I thought that in AB City too, they need to quit that and actually perform. I just felt this performance was all around one of their worst.

I have no idea what was going on. I just hope an MR Removed of that performance never surfaces lol
Yeah Heta didn't have closeups either. Bad cameraman.
I could hear Jeta, Gamma, and Code, but the mics were turned down really low, or they just weren't singing very loudly. In AB City Code always lipsynced his part. Everyone else I have heard sing live.

Alpha's are loud lol

Delta was a bit pitchy at the end except this time not Beta's fault because he lipsynced

I don't think he's going to sing live from now on. We'll probably only hear him sing on radio shows.

Same with Fie and his "ABCDEFG chorum"

Great performance though. Everyone seemed high energy except Jeta who always seems low energy to me plz feed the maknae

Sanha killed it lol

I hope they don't continue to lipsynch :/

OMG FIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! UGH Thank you for making me proud to pick you as my bias. I wonder how long it took for him to learn that.

Ok, if Heta can dance like that, why is he not getting dance solo bits in the choreo to make up for his lack of lines? I also noticed Code has a lisp when he speaks too.

White Day event

AlphaBAT, stop. Let Surprise Party die please.

M WAVE Meet&Greet

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0IhVqh4o_Q

You can never have too much of Beta's Engrish.

"You look at me my eye! Sorry, I'm sorry."

No you're not and everyone know it's. He was mega hyper lol.

Not really sure what this is.

Interview with M Wave.

[interview] AlphaBAT Talks the Members′ Different Flavors and Creating a Real ‘AB City’

AlphaBAT may only be four months old in idol age, but the K-Pop group already has two singles under its belt and is currently dominating the rookie scene with latest track Tantara.

The tight-knit nine-member idol group recently sat down withenewsWorld for an exclusive interview ahead of its MEET&GREET with Mwave and talked excitedly about its comeback as well as all of the qualities – from A to Z - that make the group uniquely AlphaBAT.

Can you tell us a little bit about ‘Tantara?’

BETA: This is a track we prepared for a year and three months. Although the track was created a year and three months ago, we loved the song so much, we kept editing and re-editing it to the point that the composer hyungs got annoyed with us, saying they were never going to give us another track [laughs]. We worked really hard on it and have a lot of affection for this track.

AlphaBAT made its debut just three months ago. How does it feel to be making a comeback so soon?

BETA: To be honest, we were sad after our last broadcast because we wanted to show more sides to ourselves. And because we prepared for so long, we wanted to promote longer, But we’re excited to get back on stage after a month and nervous at the same time. We also feel a little burdened because ‘AB City’ got a better response than we expected.

There are many hip hop idol groups out there these days. What makes AlphaBAT so special?

JETA: Our movement is unbelievable. Knifelike choreography is important, of course, but our knifelike movement is unbelievable.

BETA: All of the members have diverse talents – modeling, acting, rapping, singing – and are all active in these different genres to show AlphaBAT’s different colors from A to Z. But our greatest strength is our teamwork. We’re a family. When we’re old and dying, we’re going to make a real life AB City, and all nine of us are going to live there [laughs].

What are some of the pros and cons of having so many members?

JETA: Washing up. There are a lot of members, but we only have one bathroom. So, I always have to wake up early because I’m the maknae.

IOTA: Sleeping. Since we’re still rookies, our dorm is small, so everyone has to squeeze in. We fall asleep in a straight line and wake up in a straight line.

IOTA: A pro is that we’re democratic. The hyungs are really considerate of us [laughs].

HETA: A strength is that we’re full of energy. A weakness? We have none [cheers].

GAMMA: Our strength is that every day is different. If there’s a member who’s really fun one day, but not so fun the next day., another member is really fun and so on. A weakness is that when one person begins to lose energy, we all lose energy. When one person is tired, we’re all tired. It’s the end for all of us.

CODE: Because we’re one [laughs].

FIE: Since there’s nine of us, it’s always fun. Everyone talks a lot.

EPSILON: My answer is similar to GAMMA’s - there’s fun in choosing different flavors [laughs]. It can be literal, like when it comes to food. If I can’t decide what to eat, since there are nine members, there are eight different options. But my date options change every day as well. There are many options on whom I can date [laughs]. So every day is fun.

BETA: Who do you want to go on a date with today?

EPSILON: Today…you? [laughs] A con is…doing laundry? It’s tiring, but we have to do laundry every day.

CODE: A lot of the pros have already been covered, so if I had to say a con, it’s that there’s no end to chores. I do a lot of the chores, and there’s no end. It’s hard.

BETA: A pro for me is that I have eight dongsengs now. I think that’s what gives me the most strength. When I’m sad, they’re sad with me. When we’re having fun, we all have fun together. I think the biggest pro is that I have a family, eight brothers. A con is that since I’m the oldest hyung, I have to make sure I bring out the best in all of the member’s different colors.

Most memorable moment?

BETA: Our favorite memory was when we were the number one in real time search keywords. That was probably our happiest moment. This was right after our first live broadcast. An unfortunate memory was when we got into a car accident 30 minutes before a broadcast. No one was harmed, but we got out of the car and all of the staff members were in shock. There were no cabs around, then I saw a woman driving the same car as us, so the members and I ran over and she gave us a ride. We got there a minute or two before we had to go on stage.

What are your goals for the year?

IOTA: [To be] rookie kings.

JETA: I want to win number one.

CODE: Me too. Winning number one!

IOTA: Wait, I have one more! I want my grandmother’s friends to know who I am.

BETA: Our goal this year is to be the king of the rookies.

There are many days dedicated to women in the month of March (Women’s Day, White Day). Who is the most important woman in your life?:

All members: My mom!

Anything you’d like to say to the fans?

JETA: The most important woman in my life are the fans [cheers].

IOTA: If you cheat on us, you’re dead

HETA: Thank you for always cheering us on, and Alpha I love you!

GAMMA: For as long as you all have waited for us, we will return the favor

FIE: I only have Alpha.

EPSILON: The weather is really fickle these days, so be careful not to catch a cold. I love you, Alpha.

DELTA: I don’t have to say it. You know, right? My heart…[laughs]

CODE: Alphas, love you.

BETA: I’ll just say one word: Always.

Fie don't hate the player, hate the game.

So I guess Alphabat is getting a Malaysian member. It always bothered me that Alphabat doesn't have a foreign member or a member who speaks english fluently. I hope they get someone good.

What they're doing is smart tbh. There's not a Malaysian kpop singer, they need someone who knows a second language, they're not getting rid of a member just adding a new one, and now that they've promoted two songs they are a pretty established as an idol group, they should get at least some auditions.

My only things are, this person that is picked, will they start promoting with the group right away? How will they be able to meet the performing standards of a kpop group? What will happen if they're not as good at singing or dancing as the other 9 members? And will they ever get decent line distribution?

These things are my only worries about it.

Well I think if they can't find anyone good enough they'll probably continue as the 9. They didn't say they were definitelly adding a new member, just holding auditions. I think they are looking for someone who already has natural talent in singing/rapping and dancing, because they won't have much time to train this person. Even if the person doesn't join Alphabat until their next promotion cycle, it give them no more than 6 months or a year tops of training, and that's nothing compared to how long most idols are trainees.

The only problem I have with it is that it will be 10 members. I feel bad for members like Heta who barely get any lines as it is.

Oh and I guess we already know that Kappa will be his stage name  lol. Or will it? If he's not going to be younger than Jeta that's going to mess up the name/age order.

Probably. I just don't think they need to you know? I get they want a member with a second language, but that'll be 10 members and there's already at least 3 that get a single line and nothing else.

This might sound bad but I kinda hope they don't find anyone.

Lol!! I would hope it would be Kappa, I would be so disappointed if they either didn't keep the trend going or if they went out of order. How old is Jeta? That's probably why the youngest age is 16.

I agree. I think 10 members is excessive. Just get  a current member to learn Mandarin, and get Delta to practice English. His english was surprisingly good on that Hangouts thing.

Jeta is a 95er so he's 19. Hopefully they will get a member who is not much younger than Jeta. I want everyone to be 19+. If they get someone underage that will prevent them from doing mature concepts.

Just conversational English would be fine, there's really no need for a freshly debuted group to have a bilingual member, it would benefit them later, but someone could learn it and be decent at it by then.

Yea that would hinder them so bad. I wonder if it's because some of them are so old they'll have to go in the military pretty soon?

I hope they dont i feel like they should have a choice if they want to go to the military or not like if they are in a big band like this or an actor or something they shouldnt do that to them or the fans in my opinion just saying i feel like thats not excatly fair to them if they are doing what they want with their life they should be able to do just that

Hey, Im new to this thread. AB City has been kind of a guilty pleasure of mine since it came out, but I dont really know much about the group other than a few vids Ive seen on Youtube. How are they doing?

Welcome!

Mmmm Jun.K. I don't follow 2pm but I love me some Jun. K, just sayin'

Yeah AB City is still my favorite Alphabat song. As far as how they're doing. Well they're rookie-ing. They peeked at #7. They had a Lotte World Performance a couple of days ago. Its now the 6th week they've been promoting Ttanttara so I guess this promotion cycle is coming to a close.
