I'm liking Heta more and more. He's a bit goofy and absent-minded but he's the most well-rounded member. They need to give him more lines because his vocals are the 3rd best. My top 3 are Delta, Beta, and a tie between Jeta and Heta, .

 

I loved Beta a lot when he was in HITT and he was my bias when Alphabat first debuted but now I'm starting to like Delta and the maknaes more

 

I'm about to watch the whole thing now, thank you for highlighting when the boys appear! I'm sure that must have taken a while (and I noticed you did the same in the Stellar thread, thanks again for that)

 

Yay I'm glad he's getting more Attention (excuse the awful pun lol)  When I first got into the group through AB City I kept getting Heta and Jeta confused haha but once I got to know the members a bit more something about Heta stood out to me  I think it was mostly because he seemed so shy which was refreshing in a group where they're mostly quite loud haha but also his smile was adorable lol. Then, when I heard the cover of Love In The Ice and actually got to hear him sing I was really impressed with the tone of his voice and liked him even more lol

 

Ah Delta and Beta, they harmonise really well together, especially in Love In The Ice (Sorry I keep referring to that song lol) xD I feel bad I've actually never heard of HITT before and there's no shame in that, biases can change and everyone in the group needs support after all Although you never know, maybe in their next comeback Beta will do something amazing and regain his spot in your bias list haha

It didn't take that long I just typed the times on my phone whenever someone familiar popped up. I didn't bother highlighting the times they were scurrying around in the background.

 

On AB City the stylists made Heta and Jeta look the same but I could tell them apart because Heta smiled a lot and had no lines, and Jeta is skin and bones. I like Heta because he always gives his best in performances and he seems so kind.

 

Love In The Ice is my favorite cover of theirs. All of their covers are good and were well received. I'm just disappointed that their potential is being wasted on mediocre songs like 'Surprise Party' and 'Oh My Gosh'.

 

I dunno, I like Beta but he's so loud and hyper that I start to get annoyed by him lol

HITT is Beta's former group that disbanded. I think he was the Leader in HITT too. They were so good but they flopped.

 

 

Ah I see haha fair enough And yeah I noticed there were a lot of times where they flashed up for a second, you'd have been there all day if you marked down everything lol

 

You're more perceptive than me then lol, I thought I'd never be able to tell the difference between them all haha. Now though I feel like like I know them so well that I can't believe I ever had trouble in the first place haha xD I get that feeling from Heta as well, he seems like he's a really kind-hearted individual

 

Same!! I especially like Delta and Heta's voices in that song and Jeta's soft rapping. I also like their cover of 100%'s Bad Boy I know everyone hate's Surprise Party but... it's actually one of my favourite of their songs lol xD I dunno I just can't help but smile at Jeta's "Bang Bang!" part haha. I agree on Oh My Gosh, it took me a LOT of listens to like that song, but then this version came out which helped (especially the ending haha)

 

 

I think for me nothing can beat Ddan Dda La, I would LOVE them to do another concept similar to that.

I loved Ddan Dda La, AB City, A-ya, and Pass Out. Everything else is blah.

 

That Boy London video makes Oh My Gosh a more tolerable. That should be the official MV. I'm sorry but I bursted out laughing as soon as I saw Heta's face. He's not good at looking serious. He looks like he desperately wants to smile. He looked like that in Ddan Dda La as well. And Gamma looks incredibly tall in that video! Beta and Code need to stand as far away from Gamma as possible.

 

I'm also annoyed when Beta proclaims himself as the "sexy" leader. He does more aegyo than the maknae. Gamma and Fie are better at being sexy.

 

Yup #Heta2015 lol! It's a shame he hasn't got more power in his voice, with his tone he'd be a lovely lead vocal I reckon he just needs a bit more confidence, then there'll be no stopping him

 

Ddan Dda La's my absolute fave, then (not necessarily in order) Surprise Party, (sorry lol) xD AB City, Always and Iota's part of Pass Out (I like the whole song but his bit is just)

Yeah I'd probably describe Beta as charismatic more than sexy... I dunno maybe he just calls himself that in fun lol I agree, Fie's voice is particularly sexy and Gamma especially in the AB City video when he's wearing the white hat and black t-shirt Also, in the sexy stakes I nominate Iota  (But then again I am very biased where he's concerned lol) xD

You're right. Heta just needs some more training. I would love to see him as lead vocal because I don't think Alphabat has one. I think Beta and Delta are both main vocals. I really like Heta's tone. The only word I can describe it as is "warm".

The reason why darker clothes suits them better is because not all of them can pull off the cute look. It's awkward seeing Gamma and Fie wearing cute clothing. I don't even think Beta pulls it off well because once you remember he's a 87 liner it's embarrassing lol.

No Beta believes he's the sexiest. He can be at times but there are members who are sexier. One thing Beta has going for him is that he has the best muscles. Iota can be in the sexy when he wants to. He would rank pretty high if he didn't reveal his true personality. He's so funny that I have a hard time taking him seriously, but that's exactly why I love him. I'm still deciding if Jeta is more cute than sexy. Beta says the maknaes are not cute. Jeta and Beta should trade ages. Beta wishes he were younger and has a serious Peter Pan complex. I feel like Jeta wants to be grown because he keeps saying he's the sexy maknae and has mentioned twice how he wants to have a baby. Either he thinks of having kids a lot or he just misses his family (Alphabat lives in a dorm so they are away from their parents).

And I never knew that haha, now that you say that it makes sense, I guess I always just assumed that Beta and Delta were the main and lead vocal respectively, I never thought about there being two mains. In that case, Heta should definitely be put in a more frontal role, in a group of 9 having another strong singer at the forefront wouldn't hurt. Or maybe in a harmonising role, the way Seohyun is in SNSD. Warm is a good word definitely, actually it sums up Heta in a nutshell haha, not just his voice

In that case I shall keep the Surprise Party support alive!  I thought it would be a more popular song honestly, it's festive with cute dogs in the MV, not to mention that while it's cute it's still got that catchy quality

 

Haha I think honestly the only one who really pulls off the cute concept is probably Jeta (also maybe Epsilon) maybe cause he's the maknae but he does aegyo pretty naturally whereas you're right, for others like Fie I do feel bad for them when they're trying to be a badass rapper but stuck in a concept like Oh My God haha  Haha that's right, I remember when they were on Idol School and everyone was shocked that Beta and Code were older than Royal Pirates lol xD

Actually yeah you're right, he said so himself on that Idol School show. His muscles are insane though, seriously his arm muscles are no joke.

I honestly think Jeta's more cute, he does have sexy moments but I think there's more of a raw-ness in the sexiness of some of the other members (if that sentence made any sense at all lol.) I didn't know that about Jeta! That's interesting, he seems like quite a mature maknae. And I also didn't know they lived in a dorm, I quite like that cause that usually allows for great bonds to develop between the members

It seems like they are training Epsilon and Gamma to take Beta's place while he's gone.

I personally think Heta is a better vocalist but maybe they don't believe in him. They will most likely promote while Beta is away. I can't see them being on hiatus for nearly 2 years. I will say they probably won't have a comeback any time soon because GI is due for a comeback before them but I think they will get in at least 1 comeback while Beta is enlisted.

 

Yes, her profile (Jiwoo, she's the one with the pinkish brown hair in the MV) says she was Alphabat's dance trainer in 2013. She's also trained and choreographed other groups/artists/trainees like AJAX, VIVID, JYP trainees, etc. She has tweeted about Alphabat in the past. I would love to see them interact.

 

 

 

 

Some other things I noticed from this video.

Iota got really muscular. Look at his chest and biceps.

Jeta picked up a bit of weight. He's still skinny but doesn't look skeletal. Look how his face is fuller and his legs are filling out the pants.

Delta seems to have taken the role temporary leader.

 

Hmm yes that will probably be the case, based on the number of singing lines that each member got after B:eta and D:elta. And I'm with you on H:eta, I'm pretty sure he has my favourite tone in the group but unfortunately I think he lacks a lot of confidence, and that can be problematic when you're a main singer as the high notes and stuff you really have to go for. Hopefully he'll become a new lead singer though Or maybe they'll push him along with E:psilon and G:amma considering they're still down another member with C:ode atm.

 

Fingers crossed you're right, if they don't promote while he's away they could get lost in the shuffle so I've got my hopes up Plus with the hair colour changes a lot of them had it may mean they're gearing up to come back

Oh my gosh you're right! I didn't spot that the first time, I was too taken aback by I:ota having black hair haha I did notice that about J:eta though, it's amazing how a slight shift can alter someone's expression so much, I almost didn't recognise him at first! He still looks great though

Interesting comment about D:elta, a part of me wondered if it was either cause he seemed to be the main singer along with B:eta that he would assume the role of leadership within the group, or is it due to age order and with both B:eta and C:ode not there at the moment, D:elta as the next oldest steps in? I'm not sure, either way I'm sure he'll do a good job, although I'll miss B:eta's natural charisma as leader

Or they could determine it by age. Epsilon and Gamma are older than Heta. Also of all the members Gamma's voice sounds the most like Beta. I don't really think Heta lacks confidence. He always looks like he's having a blast when he performs. He seems like a guy that has no inhibitions. I remember when Heta confidently admitted that he sucks at school but good at everything else.

Same here I was too busy counting members and being shocked by Selin's black hair. Then I noticed those things when I watched it a second time. Delta seems like he has good leadership. Btw why was Jeta so embarrassed when he realized he was being filmed?

That's true didn't think of that, it could very well be an age hierarchy thing That's true, and certainly between the two he's a lot closer to B:eta's voice, I think E:psilon's is a wee bit deeper. Oh no don't get me wrong I definitely see him having fun when he's on stage, like he's always smiling his famous grin haha but I still think he seems a lot more shy than the other members (F:ie seems quite shy at times as well actually). Oh really? Do you remember what video that was in? I'd quite like to see it, you don't see many videos where they're interviewed is all I just watched it again myself and noticed J:eta's embarrassment haha - I reckon it was just because they came up behind him and he didn't realise he was being filmed is all haha He seemed okay in the rest of the video

 

Sorry I don't think the colour changes are that recent or anything, I was just talking about things like I:ota (and E:psilon actually) having all black hair now, and I think a couple of them have actually changed their styles up as well

Well based on the fancam above Delta's hair isn't that bad. That haircut just looks stupid when its not styled. Plus it doesn't help that his hair is naturally really thick and puffy. Iota has his bangs up in the fancam. Do  you like it that way  or is it the blonde you miss?

I absolutely love Ddan Dda La, I'd say it's my favourite based on song, choreography (love the baton twirling) and styling  I also love Surprise Party although it seems very few other people do lol  ABCity would probably round out my top 3

First of all I need to express my feelings about their clothes.

Those torn jeans and cut off shorts are an abomination. Fie's shorts are the absolute worst. I'll be happy when this trend is dead and buried.

 

I think its because I was more worried about Beta's line. Anyone can cover Code's lines but Beta's lines are really high. Its so high that even Delta could not hit those notes at the end of 'Ttantara' (hell Beta can barely do it himself). I think Delta's chorus in 'Ttantara'' is too high for Epsilon but overall I think they all did a really good job.

Iota is trying to take Beta's spot as the muscular member. I see you Iota. I think this better for him because he can eat more (He loves to eat and hates dieting).

Heta and Iota looked the most handsome. I kept watching those two.

I'm actually really pleased with Epsilon's hair. Never bring that 'AB City' blonde top back.

Haha I quite like the look of ripped jeans, although yeah maybe the shorts are a bit much lol  If it's any consolation they look like very summery outfits though so the trend probably won't continue past August Agreed with you completely about I:ota (obviously haha!) and H:eta, his hair was on point and the black shirt looked really good on him.

 

Actually I suppose that's true about C:ode but I see what you mean about B:eta's line at the end, the final note D:elta hit was nice and would have been a nice harmony if he'd sung it with B:eta's original note, but on its own it seemed a wee bit lacking considering it's kind of the climax of the song. He made up for it for me though at around 2:50, he actually hit and then went above the original B:eta note for that one I think E:psilon coped pretty well, especially considering he was being thrust into a more primary singing position which D:elta would be more used to. I know he had that little wobble haha but he dealt with it well, smiled it off and continued. I also thought his flip was great

 

Haha who doesn't (about the dieting!) but I spotted that too ever since you mentioned about his arms in that previous video, I'm happy for him cause more than anything he looks happy and healthy, for a while his face was looking pretty thin at one point. I'm sure the army will ensure a muscly B:eta returning though and then I:ota will have competition haha

 

Haha I liked the ABCity hair mainly cause it helped me identify him at the start but I'll admit all black looks good on him

It makes total sense to me! Definitely upbeat and summery, I think it's because watching the original video first kind of cemented the song as having a more cutesy vibe than serious  Maybe if the black and white video had been released first I'd have a different mindset, I don't know I'll admit I did like the black and white video for the styling and for showing off their choreography so well though, giving us moments like these

That was honestly amazing, in terms of quality and also just the fact that he got to collaborate with him in the first place! It really showed off his voice well, which is good timing considering he's promoting his solo now.
