(This is not a bashing thread, I am just curious) The groups that I have tried to like are EXO - Their songs aren't bad but they don't make me feel anything. The closest they came was with Wolf because it was so OTT - if they had stuck with over-the-top, cheesy videos I might have been able to be a fan. BTS- Dope and I Need You are good but I think, as a whole, they are overrated. They aren't doing anything (in my opinion) that sets them apart from any other boy group. SNSD- all era's. I don't like overly cutesy groups and SNSD has been around long enough that if they want to hold onto the title of nations girl group, they should improve or try something different. Run Devil Run was their best song because it was catchy but it wasn't geared towards 10 year olds like 'Party' and 'Lion Heart' have been. Taemin- I like Shinee and I like all the members of the group but I feel like SM keeps trying to make Taemin happen and I am not convinced his talent measures up to his hype. I feel like I can know I like something with an MV and maybe one dance video but If a company is trying to convince me with 4+ performance videos and another high budget video then it is too much. So again, I have probably alienated 3/4 of this forum, but it's not that I dislike any of these people/groups, it's just that I can't drink the koolaid. What groups do you have trouble getting into? Some kept my interest for a while though, like 2PM and SHINee. Exo have some good songs but their personalities are too bland in my opinion. Edit: Not that I'm a big SNSD fan but OP your reasons for not liking them don't make much sense. SNSD has tried out several different concepts. EXO - I admit they are good, they are not popular without a reason, i feel like listening to few of their songs but cant get into them just like with SNSD. I will admit that I did Like the mv for The Boys but that's because they actually looked/acted like grown women And I appreciate that everyone has preferences but no amount of defending/explaining a group will get ME to like them. I've tried with SNSD for years but I am not the kind of person who can convince myself that if I just listen to/watch something enough I'll forget I hate it and start loving it.
