Do you have motion sickness?

I got motion sickness when I travelled long distances in cars and I read up on why it happens and figured out ways solved it, so I don't get sick anymore.

I realized I felt sick on highways/smooth roads and I read its cause although you can clearly see you're moving (cause things are moving past you) but if you don't feel it much on certain roads, your body thinks you're dizzy or ate something bad etc so it tries to get you to throw up what you ate in case it was poisoned.

To fix that just don't look outside and close your eyes so you can't see, yet feel yourself moving, or sleep a bit if it gets bad. Distractions are really good too, for me reading makes it worse (the moving words give a dizzying effect I guess) so when I travel far I always listen to music, talk, and take something to eat (cookies/regular chips etc, I heard peppermints are good for nausea). Hope that helps you too~ ^^

Only on long bus journeys with very winding roads, on old and shaky vehices (when they "vibrate" a lot), or with a bad driver. I almost never get so nauseous that i actually throw up though.

My sister has quite bad motion sickness, but there are pills and chewing gums that helps a lot. The gums work almost instantly, but they taste kinda bad and make your mouth feel numb and weird. The pills are effective too, but you have to remember to take them at least an hour in advance. Wristbands are ok too, but not always enough.

I used to have it when i was younger, now it's not that bad.

Actually the body has ability to adjust itself to motion, try different things to adjust like looking outside the window, turning the aircond with a bigger blast, breathing, talking, small exercise, eating, so the travel with feel more comfortable.

When I am in my dad's old car, which is honda murano, I can't sit at the back or else I will feel nausea so I usually sit at the front while my mom sit at the back.

When it comes to plane rides, I always try to sleep first but it is really hard to sleep in there

Whenever planes have turbulence, i will feel nausea. For the bus for long journey, the lower the better, I can't sit at the top of the double decker as i will feel nausea and vomit.

There was one time, I sat with my mom at the top of the double decker to go back after visiting my cousins. That time, I feel worse cos i vomit about 5 times that night and cannot sleep at all.

Yep I still get it when I travel lol.

I usually just take motion sickness medication to ease the nausea.

I also use this motion sickness wristband too  :rlytearpls:

I heard ginger tablets work well, but I've never tried them before.

Ginger really helps cos I watched an ep of vitamin and they prove it.

Yes! It used to be so bad that I avoided traveling by car as much as possible. Not that I don't have it anymore but now I try to deal with it by listening to music or sleeping. Now I know better than reading anything on the car

Tho I still have it during traffic jam, which is inevitable xD Last year when I went to Korea, the bus driver kept stopping suddenly without announcing so I felt like I was going to throw up

When I was a kid I would end up vomiting almost in every trip we had, specially in the long ones and I believe the air conditioner or change of weather made it worst but now I'm fine although I still feel sick in boats or ships. In fact I enjoy long journeys now, I can get to relax while listening music and just chilling in my seat and also I find it easier to fall asleep when the car or bus is like going fast, the movement lulls to sleep me.

Yes I have really bad motion sickness. If the car ride is like one hour or so, I have to take medicine. I get sick so easily in cars, buses, trains, subways, boats, planes, etc.

I puke a lot. :/

For plane rides I don't even eat food- I remember in a flight to China, it was 13 hours and I refused to eat..I felt so sick. In general, the smell of food will make me feel really bad too. (I ended up puking on that plane ride, as usual).

I've always had bad motion sickness ever since I was young- it only got worse for me.

But I love traveling so it's really really ironic. In trips, I suffer a lot tbh.

The medicine makes me really drowsy so like.....I remember this one time I was on a whale watching boat trip thing and I had to take more than the usual amount I take for medicine and I was falling asleep lmao the boat was going crazy but I couldnt even keep my eyes open.

There's no winning for me :/
