The Damn Daniel meme impossibly keeps getting better and better. It's been a feel good Internet sensation from the get-go, but now the meme's protagonist Daniel Lara is taking pairs from the lifetime supply of Vans he received on The Ellen Degeneres Show and donating them to teenaged patients at a children's hospital, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Lara, along with the cameraman and voice behind Damn Daniel, Josh Holz, visited the local Loma Linda University Children's Hospital in Southern California where they live. They met with fans and handed out 100 pairs of Vans provided by the company.

"I am so happy. This is the best day of my life," 13-year-old patient Johnathan Robinson-Joye told the Los Angeles Daily News. "I can't wait to tell my family that I met Daniel, sucka."

"We thought it was important to do some charity work and give back to the local community," Lara said. "We're enjoying it. We're enjoying being here. This is a great experience."

Vans also assembled a bag of goodies filled with items like trucker hats, socks, and stickers to be given out along with the shoes.

The dream-making hospital visit comes just one day after Lara and Holz presumably made some personal dreams come true by appearing in a music video with Weezer.
