I had teachers call me racial slurs when I was in middle school. He apologized to us at the end I can understand where he was coming from considering he was very old or old school. He did it so we can grow a thick skin. Grow some balls jesus bunch of pussies kids today.

maths teachers think they can get away with anything.. every one i have had (i have had 4) all have a superiority complex and will do anything to put you down if you don't understand.  it's like they think they're better than you just because they can do maths, and because you don't have a natural talent they make you feel bad about yourself.... sigh

Some teachers nowadays got some issues smh. Here, in my country, there have been a lot of reports of teachers verbally and/or physically attacking students.

 

They should never call themselves teachers.

We had a teacher like that. Apparently someone recorded her spouting death threats at a pupil for 'swinging on their chair'. Her rages were notorious. She shouted at me for a good 10 minutes once for forgetting to put my name on my booklet. And there were many students she routinely called 'thick'.

Most students found it funny though. 

Some turned it into a game: 'Who can make her rage first?'

Some made recordings of her going nuts into their ringtone. 

You can't compete against a hoard of discontent and bored teenagers.

actually for a teacher to insult a student like that is wrong. it wasn't a playful jab at her, it was just putting her down. it does nothing but make her feel bad and embarrass her. counterproductive and this is why students don't go to school. you cant learn in an environment like that. he is not fit to teach.

 

aussie schools are different i guess. my teachers use to give me shit all the time but it was friendly and i would do the same. this playfulness is what helps students open up and be themselves instead closed off. my school was the shit. teachers were cool and students did their thing and the seniors take care of the tryhard bullies. and i went to one of the worst high schools in my state. we had interschool fights LOL a friend of mine got stabbed just at the front gate, principle got hit with a skateboard trying to brake up a fight lol. police had to lock down the school for a week coz of gang fights.
