THE NEW DAY

Recommended Posts

R.I.PProbably the main reason Roman didn't appear on RAW yesterday, and not just a storyline.Because he appeared on a WWE live event over the weekend confronting Braun.

Damn. Condolences to the Anoa'i family.

lol Jinder is doing some serious Bane from Batman cosplay

I'm all with WWE 'shuffling' their superstars tier a bit. Keeping the card fresh instead of just hiring new faces and wasting on current talents.

But I'm sure they wont let Jinder win so easy. This is just an attempt to push him to the upper carder from being just a jobber. There is currently

lack of top heel on Smackdown, and I think Jinder Mahal is a good personality for it. Then we have Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin and that's pretty much it.

People like AJ or Randy is just almost impossible to push as heels because the crowd just love them so much.

oh definitely, he's not catching that actual title win.

Yea. I think that generally speaking, it's possible to have that heel push; members of the Bullet Club are loved and have been boo'd before in PWG and ROH (even current members like Adam Cole and Young Bucks are beloved and hated) same with Kevin. But right now, I don't think the WWE creative team is at a point where they can adequately write crowd favorites as heels.

Is there anyone you guys want to see in the WWE right now? The roster is so strong and has a lot of dream talent such as AJ Styles.

I don't currently want to see any new talent added because WWE really needs to work on establishing the ones that they already have. They can still push their stories and have superstars showcase their skills instead of putting them into 2 minute job matches but they don't and it's wasting talent.

As far as dream matches go though, SDLive and 205Live has been doing a good job of setting up great matches that I'd never considered, so I'm psyched for more of them. I do just want to see what Naka/Aj/Owens/Sami/Samoa/Finn/Seth in the same ring at the same time would look like, lol. Even though Owens and Sami may be sick of fighting each other by now

Agreed to this. However, for some reason, I want some older generation superstars return, just like The Hardyz. And I would love WWE to add TNA alums Christopher Daniels and Petey Williams (tho he's retired).

How do you guys think cruiserweights would make wwe universe interested? Coz I prefer 205 more than main. I like that they are building story for TJP x Neville x Aries.

I'm excited for Naka! Like, extremely excited. His charisma is so unique to Wwe. I'm happy they didn't stick him with a manager and let him speak. I hope they treat him like the legend he is and don't resort to having him be a joke like they did with other Asian talent in the past.

Shit, fuck if I know. Sure they can impress with their high flying moves but if the crowd doesn't like you as a person they're still gonna chant beach ball mania and other bullshit. Maybe they can put the top guys in a faction and have them go after the non cruiserweight talent? I know its been done a million times but who doesn't love a good resistance stable that likes to beat people down?

Personally I want to see WWE bringing back factions.

My wishful/dream factions...

RAW

The main faction would be the new Wyatt Family with Bray recruiting members who are low-mid carders but slowly rebuilding their reputation and gaining power.

- Big Show (he's retiring soon so better give him one last decent run)

- Rhyno (he betrays Heath Slater and joins the Wyatt)

- Bo Dallas (reinvent or twist his character to fit the story line. he's bray's brother after all)

- Summer Rae (who returns from a long break with a new character)

Then you have The Club, which is the spin-off from the original Bullet Club with Finn Balor, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson. And you obviously need at least one female member, maybe add Emma (because she's cool ... lol)

And possibly a 3rd faction consist of low-mid carders who had issues or betrayals from the new Wyatt family members.

- Heath Slater (betrayed by Rhyno)

- Curtis Axel (in response to long time friend Bo Dallas)

- Mark Henry (because the Wyatt has Big Show, just to make things look even)

- Dana Brooke

And they will have Bob Backlund as manager, who automatically takes in Darren Young into the group. LOL. To make it more random, add Tajiri as a cruiserweight member.

I think that because 205 has about 20 experienced ppl on roster, it gives WWE the chance to really invest in showcasing storylines, personality, promo work, and so on. When fans are invested in the talent, they're more invested in matches and promos-even when it's super silly (Broken Matt/Brother Nero).

The ability is already there; people like T,J., Neville, Cedric, Brian K. and such are very used to doing self-promo to put themselves over with crowds or the generate heat. Creative just needs to facilitate the talent and not snuff it out with their incessant need to make every heel and every face sound exactly alike.

I mean, how many times are they going to play the, "the wwe universe/people don't care about me so I'll turn or be a heel" card in a year? Rollins, Neville, Dolph, Jinder, T.J. When your stars are repeating the same lines across shows and styles, it's easy to see that creative is doing a one size-fits-all approach to writing for many of them.

Payback tomorrow and the Universal Championship is not contested.

There is supposed to be a 30 days title defense rule and Brock is supposed to defend it at least on RAW after Payback.

I'm still not sold on Roman Reigns, but I believe he's improving for the better. I hope they do something about that character though. Dude's really likeable in real life, but I'd rather hear Byron Saxton make a promo than him.

But man, if everything goes well, I get to finally see Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor. I've been dying to see that match-up.

And I really hope Neville drops the title soon to Aries. And TJ Perkins gets a new theme to match his heel persona now.

Charlotte got her pics leaked but I honestly didn't even know about it until she talked about it on twitter...

How is this happening? Are they hacking the cloud? Stealing phones? Why are they targeting wwe divas?
