Your thoughts on women who don't shave/hair on women?

The gist of the article is that U.S. women were browbeaten into shaving underarm hair by a sustained marketing assault that began in 1915. (Leg hair came later.)

The aim of what Hope calls the Great Underarm Campaign was to inform American womanhood of a problem that till then it didn't know it had, namely unsightly underarm hair.

Around 1915, however, sleeveless dresses became popular, opening up a whole new field of female vulnerability for marketers to exploit.

According to Hope, the underarm campaign began in May, 1915, inHarper's Bazaar, a magazine aimed at the upper crust. The first ad "featured a waist-up photograph of a young woman who appears to be dressed in a slip with a toga-like outfit covering one shoulder. Her arms are arched over her head revealing perfectly clear armpits. The first part of the ad read `Summer Dress and Modern Dancing combine to make necessary the removal of objectionable hair.'"

It doesn't matter to me. I find it more attractive if armpits and legs are shaved but who am I to say what they should or shouldn't do?

Maybe I should add that I shave/trim my armpits, especially if I wear T-shirts or short-sleeved shirts in general.

Personally I prefer shaved legs and armpits, but it's a woman's choice to do it or not.

In countries like France and Italy a lot of women do not shave.

Pretty sure that's a myth now. The French one in particular was propagated by US soldiers when they were stationed there in WWII and back then it was true that shaving wasn't a commonplace. Nowadays they are just the same as most women.

I've recently heard that people who were there said that there are still a lot of women who do not shave. So idk.

I also do find shaved legs and armpits more attractive but that's obviously because of the media and society. Shaved vaginas are more practical when having oral sex/scissoring but it makes me feel like I'm 12 xD

Who said that, Americans? I've been there too and all women seemed to have the same grooming habits as in other countries.

I guess the best is to wait for a French girl to come in.

Meh. Human beings have hair, it's not a big deal.

You're wrong about Italy though, fuckJohnny. XD

Sorry then :(

Nah some of my cousins were in France.

you're a lucky person if you get laid enough to worry about that :P

p.s. I don't wanna be that person but it's vulva/labia not vagina

I prefer to trim because I like the look and feel of it more than bush/fully shaven on genitals, and I prefer shaved armpits + legs. But if someone wants to do something different, I'm sure as hell not going to throw them out of bed for it.

Same.  :._.:

It makes me feel uncomfortable to be quite honest. That's why I prefer it not completely shaven.

As for your question, I don't think women should be shamed for not shaving. Body hair is natural on both men and women, why should it be disgusting on one particular sex? People can do what they want with their body, as long as they are comfortable with it.

However, it is still more hygienic to keep some areas trimmed (underarms and genitals), which includes men and women of course.

Well I'm french, and in the streets i never saw a women/girl having her legs unshaved. For unshaved armpits, i saw some women, but it was mostly older women. I never saw a young girl going around with her armpits unshaved.

But again with people fully covered you never know^^.

I prefer to have my legs/armpits shaved, but if some women prefer not to, it's their business. If they feel more comfortable like that.

Not really. Just one time I was doing it with a girl and then I was so itchy because she wasn't shaved lol.

Well excuse me

The essence of advertising.

By the way, there is ongoing uncertainty about whether uncovered breasts in a painting can get you banned if those in a photo can. It's a ridiculous rule, I know, but I'd hate it to happen.
