(Hyunseung) The second half of the year left strong memories. From BEAST till Trouble Maker, I busily promoted and it made up the second half of the year.

 

<STM> If so, is there anyone who would like to talk about any other member’s individual promotions?

(Hyunseung & Junhyung) Doojoon’s!

(Hyunseung) Doojoon’s sitcom was really fun. It’s the only program I keep watch over.

 

<STM> If I’m not in BEAST? Now, what kind of life would I live?

(Hyunseung) Probably under a different name, won’t I be a singer?

 

<STM> You have been actively promotion overseas, what are your plans for the future?

(Hyunseung) We will start Japan promotions early next year. Of course, not forgetting Korea. But our album release is still a secret~.

 

<STM> When you welcome 2014, if there’s goal you want to achieve, please let us know.

(Hyunseung) I’m worried because there’s really a lot of things I would like to do. I’m thinking about both my image as BEAST as well as solo at the same time. Firstly, I want to greet the fans through a new album; personally because Mozart is still very vivid in me, I want to challenge another musical, I want to work hard and bet life and death on it.

─ You returned in Korea after a year. During this one year, in order to upgrade, how did you spend your days?
Hyunseung: I too, didn’t just focus on lessons; I played around a little and worked hard.

─ Prior to the conclusion of the 2nd album’s promotions, the release of the handwritten letters to the fans became a topic of conversation. Dongwoon’s words 「Some people love us and some people don’t like us but we will work even harder through our music so that they can love at least our musicã€, we could feel an artist’s determination in that.
Hyunseung: During this comeback and as our promotion period moved along, once again we felt how precious and thankful the fans were.

─ From the influence of Yoseob’s muscular body, is there any member who perhaps is thinking of starting to take care of your boy (into muscular type) as well?
Hyunseung: It’s something that cannot be done!

─ There is less than a month left to Christmas, what is everyone’s ideal Christmas?
Hyunseung: I want to rent a large room somewhere and spend it talking with colleagues. But hearing what Yoseob said, spending it romantically doesn’t seem like a bad idea.

─ These days, the members are faithfully promoting on your own. Please tell us what you’d like to challenge next.
Hyunseung: I have an interest in acting. I want to try a character that absolutely does not listen to anyone else. Don’t you think it’ll be fun if I acted? But not as a main job, I think there’s too many eyes surrounding that pays attention to it. But I think it’s not a job that is as simple as you think it would be.

─ Your goals as a group?
Hyunseung: I want to spend a good time with the members for a long time.

HyunSeung: It's really easy to sing in Japanese. The recording also finished easily too.

Important Things for an Artist, Idol
─ What is the important thing for an artist and an idol?
HyunSeung: An artists' range is large but for a singer, they put a priority in their songs and performances to be great. As a plus, i think that you also need something creative. If you can't find that thing then I think you won't become a great artist, but if you do find it then you will be loved by all. It's like a homework given to an artist. On the other hand, for an idol, I think that they are always required for something new all the time. It's really hard to create a new characteristic for each group. However, I think the point that they "have to make an effort by themselves" is the same for both artists and idols.

Q1. Hard to Love. Tell us an episode when you felt like "Love is really hard" "Girls are really difficult".
HyunSeung: Girls' hearts are hard (to understand). I don't know the reason why they become upset, get angry, and what they're thinking of.

Q2. How to love = What type are you when you're in a relationships?
A: Girlfriend > Work B: Friends > Girlfriend C: Restricting type D: Others
HyunSeung: D. Work and lover are both important.

Hyunseung: Lately I like shoes, leather pants. If you wear the right kind of pants, regardless of what you wear above, it will look good. Rather than the clothes, I think pants are the most important.

Hyunseung: None. If I really have to choose, sunglasses. I don’t usually match well/fit sunglasses but lately I’ve been wanting to use it.

HyunSeung: I think my specialty is dance. I want to improve on the ability when I'm on stage and as an artist to keep the audience focused on me.

Q4. The clothes you wear when you're sleeping?
HyunSeung: T-shirt and short pants. If it's too quiet I can't sleep so I have the TV or music turned on often.

HyunSeung: When they say "you're cool/awesome" after seeming me on stage.

Q7. What do you want to be like 10 years after?
HyunSeung: I want to grow a singer. Also I hope to be able to be on stage, singing and dancing, like Michael Jackson even in my 30s.

Q. When you have someone you like, do you confess? or do you wait?
HyunSeung: If the other person seems to have feelings for me too then I'm the type that makes her ask me out first (laughs). If she doesn't seem to have any feelings, then I will approach her.

HyunSeung: Innocence. A person who is doing well in what she likes to do etc. and has social competitiveness. A woman who loves me.

─ During the waiting time HyunSeung was humming to Utada Hikaru's "Automatic". Which Japanese song do you like?
HyunSeung: This is the only Japanese song I know how to sing (shy). But I like Utada Hikaru! Also I listened to w-inds' songs before. I really like Keita Tachibana, he's good at dancing and I've heard several times that he and I look alike.

HyunSeung: Please listen a lot to our new album. Also, everyone come to next year's Japan tour!

─ A comeback in a year in Korea. There must have been pressures.
HyunSeung: I also felt the pressure. You can't ignore the amount of albums sold and those figures, but I always have 「How is it compared to the previous worksã€in mind. I have to release a better work than the previous ones, and I want to do that.

─ Even between the busy schedule, what is your personal hobby?
HyunSeung: I stay home often but sometimes I meet with close friends and eat out while sharing stories. I really like those kind of times.

5 Year's Change that Successfully Created the 6 People's Individuality
─ Debuting in Korea in 2009, BEAST greets its 5th year anniversary. Tell us about the growth of the member sitting next to you.
DongWoon: HyunSeung-hyung is always in the practice room whenever I go there, like our pre-debut times. As much to wonder if he lives in the practice room (laughs). Because of that effort, I believe he is growing in his songs (singing) and dance.
HyunSeung: I don't live in the practice room (laughs). Even before debut, GiKwang took care of himself thoroughly so he's already been mature in that aspect. Even now he is taking care of his body and appearances, making him more handsome.

─ Like the title of the track 「I'm Sorryã€, tell us about what you want to apologize personally.
HyunSeung: I want to apologize to the Japanese fans. I'm feeling sorry that we weren't able to promoted often until now. But we'll be starting the Japan tour from January and we expect to show a lot of great things so I hope you will look forward to it.

Q: You have spoken a lot of Japanese at the live held in Yokohama Arena back in July.
HS: I haven't received personal instruction, but on my phone there is an application that allows (me) to easily memorize, so I've studied using that. It's difficult for us to converse directly (in Japanese) yet, and unable to put across our thoughts altogether, but wanting to share as much of our thoughts as possible made me work hard.

Q: Already?! That's fast. In this album, is there a song you like personally?
HS: Shadow. It's the title song of this album, and also we've had lots of activities through this song so I feel the connection/affinity with this song.

Q: Are there times you've been influenced by your surrounding?
HS: My perspective on love hasn't changed since the past. In love, there are meetings and there are partings, and it repeats.
Q: That's a cool answer. Hyunseung-san is an adult.
HS: That's not it.
YS: No, the one who says "that's not it" seems like an adult.

Q: The love that I think is the best.
HS: I thought a dramatic love story will be the best, but, a best love will be one that has trust, and able to think of each others' stance and to meet a partner that you are able to spend your live with. But to me, to think about love and talk about it or decide on it, it's too difficult and I can't do it.

(Hyunseung) Doojoon’s sitcom was really fun. It’s the only program I keep watch over.

(Hyunseung) Probably under a different name, won’t I be a singer?

 

<STM> You have been actively promotion overseas, what are your plans for the future?

(Hyunseung) We will start Japan promotions early next year. Of course, not forgetting Korea. But our album release is still a secret~.

 

<STM> When you welcome 2014, if there’s goal you want to achieve, please let us know.

(Hyunseung) I’m worried because there’s really a lot of things I would like to do. I’m thinking about both my image as BEAST as well as solo at the same time. Firstly, I want to greet the fans through a new album; personally because Mozart is still very vivid in me, I want to challenge another musical, I want to work hard and bet life and death on it.

─ You returned in Korea after a year. During this one year, in order to upgrade, how did you spend your days?

Hyunseung: I too, didn’t just focus on lessons; I played around a little and worked hard.

 

─ Prior to the conclusion of the 2nd album’s promotions, the release of the handwritten letters to the fans became a topic of conversation. Dongwoon’s words 「Some people love us and some people don’t like us but we will work even harder through our music so that they can love at least our musicã€, we could feel an artist’s determination in that.

Hyunseung: During this comeback and as our promotion period moved along, once again we felt how precious and thankful the fans were.

 

─ From the influence of Yoseob’s muscular body, is there any member who perhaps is thinking of starting to take care of your boy (into muscular type) as well?

Hyunseung: It’s something that cannot be done!

 

─ There is less than a month left to Christmas, what is everyone’s ideal Christmas?

Hyunseung: I want to rent a large room somewhere and spend it talking with colleagues. But hearing what Yoseob said, spending it romantically doesn’t seem like a bad idea.

 

─ These days, the members are faithfully promoting on your own. Please tell us what you’d like to challenge next.

Hyunseung: I have an interest in acting. I want to try a character that absolutely does not listen to anyone else. Don’t you think it’ll be fun if I acted? But not as a main job, I think there’s too many eyes surrounding that pays attention to it. But I think it’s not a job that is as simple as you think it would be.

 

─ Your goals as a group?

Hyunseung: I want to spend a good time with the members for a long time.

HyunSeung: It's really easy to sing in Japanese. The recording also finished easily too.

 

Important Things for an Artist, Idol

─ What is the important thing for an artist and an idol?

HyunSeung: An artists' range is large but for a singer, they put a priority in their songs and performances to be great. As a plus, i think that you also need something creative. If you can't find that thing then I think you won't become a great artist, but if you do find it then you will be loved by all. It's like a homework given to an artist. On the other hand, for an idol, I think that they are always required for something new all the time. It's really hard to create a new characteristic for each group. However, I think the point that they "have to make an effort by themselves" is the same for both artists and idols.

 

Q1. Hard to Love. Tell us an episode when you felt like "Love is really hard" "Girls are really difficult".

HyunSeung: Girls' hearts are hard (to understand). I don't know the reason why they become upset, get angry, and what they're thinking of.

 

Q2. How to love = What type are you when you're in a relationships?

A: Girlfriend > Work B: Friends > Girlfriend C: Restricting type D: Others

HyunSeung: D. Work and lover are both important.

HyunSeung: When they say "you're cool/awesome" after seeming me on stage.

HyunSeung: I want to grow a singer. Also I hope to be able to be on stage, singing and dancing, like Michael Jackson even in my 30s.

 

Q. When you have someone you like, do you confess? or do you wait?

HyunSeung: If the other person seems to have feelings for me too then I'm the type that makes her ask me out first (laughs). If she doesn't seem to have any feelings, then I will approach her.

HyunSeung: Innocence. A person who is doing well in what she likes to do etc. and has social competitiveness. A woman who loves me.

HyunSeung: I want to go to Tokyo Tower. But truthfully I don't know what to do when I go to Tokyo Tower. Is there something fun to do there?

 

─ During the waiting time HyunSeung was humming to Utada Hikaru's "Automatic". Which Japanese song do you like?

HyunSeung: This is the only Japanese song I know how to sing (shy). But I like Utada Hikaru! Also I listened to w-inds' songs before. I really like Keita Tachibana, he's good at dancing and I've heard several times that he and I look alike.

5 Year's Change that Successfully Created the 6 People's Individuality

─ Debuting in Korea in 2009, BEAST greets its 5th year anniversary. Tell us about the growth of the member sitting next to you.

DongWoon: HyunSeung-hyung is always in the practice room whenever I go there, like our pre-debut times. As much to wonder if he lives in the practice room (laughs). Because of that effort, I believe he is growing in his songs (singing) and dance.

HyunSeung: I don't live in the practice room (laughs). Even before debut, GiKwang took care of himself thoroughly so he's already been mature in that aspect. Even now he is taking care of his body and appearances, making him more handsome.

 

─ Like the title of the track 「I'm Sorryã€, tell us about what you want to apologize personally.

HyunSeung: I want to apologize to the Japanese fans. I'm feeling sorry that we weren't able to promoted often until now. But we'll be starting the Japan tour from January and we expect to show a lot of great things so I hope you will look forward to it.

Q: You have spoken a lot of Japanese at the live held in Yokohama Arena back in July.

HS: I haven't received personal instruction, but on my phone there is an application that allows (me) to easily memorize, so I've studied using that. It's difficult for us to converse directly (in Japanese) yet, and unable to put across our thoughts altogether, but wanting to share as much of our thoughts as possible made me work hard.

 

Q: Already?! That's fast. In this album, is there a song you like personally?

HS: Shadow. It's the title song of this album, and also we've had lots of activities through this song so I feel the connection/affinity with this song.

 

Q: Are there times you've been influenced by your surrounding?

HS: My perspective on love hasn't changed since the past. In love, there are meetings and there are partings, and it repeats.

Q: That's a cool answer. Hyunseung-san is an adult.

HS: That's not it.

YS: No, the one who says "that's not it" seems like an adult.

 

Q: The love that I think is the best.

HS: I thought a dramatic love story will be the best, but, a best love will be one that has trust, and able to think of each others' stance and to meet a partner that you are able to spend your live with. But to me, to think about love and talk about it or decide on it, it's too difficult and I can't do it.

[OSEN=Park Jung Sun] Jang Hyun Seung from group BEAST successfully showed his first solo stage.

 

Jang Hyun Seung performed remade ‘Wedding Cake’, the song that Twin Folio at the KBS 2TV Entertainment Program ‘Immortal Song’ that was aired on 14th afternoon.

 

This was Jang Hyun Seung’s first stage neither as BEAST nor Trouble Maker. Jang Hyun Seung seemed bit tensed at first however, as the music started he possessed all the audiences with his unique sexy performance.

 

His ‘Wedding Cake’ was totally different than original song. He arranged the folk song ‘Wedding Cake’ to slow jam and made Jang Hyun Seung’s ‘Wedding Cake’.

at least he's not using leather anymore all the time... i've seen him wear denim esp. when in casual clothes... unlike before during shadow promos where he's wearing leather even in airport and variety shows... -_-
