The good news is that Akdong Musician is done recording their second album, and will be making a comeback in April. Yang Hyun Suk also shared a news he received from Chanhyuk. He said Chanhyuk told him, "Boss, I am going to volunteer for the military service after the next album. I am planning to join the marines. Please, take care of my sister Suhyun and make her a solo album while I am gone." YG was startled by Chanhyuk's sudden announcement. Chanhyuk claimed that joining the military, living in a new environment, and going through challenges will allow him to generate better music. To this Yang Hyun Suk jokingly responded, "You are too short for the marines. You will not qualify." This means that Akdong Musician will be having a long break after the 2nd album. Not because he's enlisting at a young age (its actually beneficial in a way, just look at Yoo Seung Ho) but more because he will go only after two albums when there was MORE THAN POSSIBILITIES to have more. He's probably going because of the environment in which he wasnt able to release music...and knowing how much of a creative person he is, that must have been stressful/hurtful. He suffered from insomnia during the hiatus and all of his answers when they came back were really sad. He's doing better now tho, he seems really happy these days. W korea interview( It was before their comeback ) Q. Is that the next step after achieving your dream as a singer? Hoon: I think I’m dreaming something different right now. I’ll be happy with being the best singer but I also think about what I really am when I strip myself from being a celebrity. I don’t think I’m a star yet but I become burdened at times when people recognise me on the streets or when people say their life changed thanks to me. I feel grateful but on the other hand I sometimes feel like this job doesn’t suit me as a person. Q. It's a smart move coming from him since he already knows YG won't let AKMU have a comeback anytime soon after their next one so better go now and be done with it... I can't believe we won't have any AKMU comeback for 2 WHOLE YEARS !!! MY BABIES ! Hopefully YG won't be an ass and will indeed make Suhyun go solo, she's so good it would be a waste not to let her sing. But we all know YG. I won't even let my hopes up. The question was literally about what happened during the hiatus and they discussed how it was hard on them tho so he answered accordingly. Nevermind your misinformed post but the interview was for Ten Asia, I just cant find the trans, too lazy to backtrack the thread right now. But I wont argue with you on this, I´m quite tired of being quoted by typical YG stans everytime I expressed my opinion against YG management. You´re entitled to yours so lets leave it at that.
