Jinn is corruption, and does not belong in The Spirit World. Psychics can access the "other world" for information etc. Haram or not? Why?

psychics cant access the other world, but jinn(or satan?) can. psychics made agreement with jinn/satan, and jinn/satan stole some information from the other world to be told to psychics. thats what my teacher said about psychics.

the spirit world consist of jinns, satans, and angels. and as qui said, there is 'good' and 'bad' jinn.

i REALLY should read and start to comprehend Quran, like, really. i waste my 19 years life with nonsense -__-.

Question:some people celebrate "12th of "Rabbi-ul-awwal" its called "Eid-millad-in-nabi" here....supposedly as the date when The Holy Prophet P.B.U.H....was born...and I was wondering...
1.I heard that Muslims are suppose to celebrate only two holidays in a year that is Eid-ul-fitr and Eid-ul-adha...
2.I also heard Muslims aren't suppose to celebrate birthdates.
3.is this day the exact day when Holy Prophet P.B.U.H was born?
also is this an act of shirk?....a.k.a fabrication?
I'm just wondering,so I would appreciate if some one would enlighten me on this matter, cause I and my family do not partake in this.

so i've some searching, and, yeah. you're right about muslims only supposed to celebrate those two days. maulid (Eid-millad-in-nabi) is a 'culture' from Banu Ubaid (Fathimiyyiin) many years ago. they celebrated :

New Year eve, eid-milad-in-nabi, eid-milad-in-Ali ibn Abi Thalib ra, Hasan, Husain, and Fathimah as, Khalih al-Hadir (their current leader), early night Rajab, Nishfu Sya’ban night, Eid-ul-fitr and Eid-ul-adha, eid Ghadir (Khum), Kiswah as-Syita` (rainy dress), Kiswah as-Shaif (summer dress), Eid Nairuz (Persia's new year), Eid al-Ghuthas, eid-milad, eid Khamis al-Adas (khamis al-ahd, 3 days before easter), dan other Rukubat days. (they celebrated some we shouldnt :derp: )

(originally from http://www.saaid.net/mktarat/Maoled/1.htm )

from my reseaches, there's no solid base about eid-milad-in-nabi celebration. quran doesnt mention it. Holy Prophet PBUH never said anything about it either. many says its bid'ah (not really a shrik, but we shouldnt do it).  nobody sure what is the exact day Holy Prophet PBUH was born. and no, birthdate celebration isnt islam culture. i hope what i wrote made sense because i translated them from Bahasa .__.

many (so so so many) muslims in my country (it means a big, big part) doing maulid in 12th of rabiul awal. it is kind of culture, which is hard to be deleted and separated, and its seen as a must-do thing in almost every 'pengajian' (like islamic study group) every year. look even my family doing it now (we're in the middle of preparation) and i was trying to tell about it to my family but mum said whatever idk what should i do now :._.:

Can't believe that we're in April... might as well say May.

Before you know it, it'll be Ramadan.

Question:

What do the eclipse mean in Islam?

ah, i cant wait anymore.... its in July isnt it? time passed so, fast?

i've heard it somewhere that eclipse shows that everything is at the mercy of Allah and it is a kind of reminder for us to always remember and pray to Him (I have yet to see solar eclipse but lunar eclipse, i saw it more than twice and its so beautiful i got goosebumps :ahmagah: )

Al-Hujurat [49:11]

"O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers."

this made me reflect, alot.

*looks at my posts in bashing thread*

do we celebrate birth day/ anniversary?

i just found that i was born in shaban 13rd, years ago /-0-/

By the way, I think we should do something here for Ramadan. Maybe share pictures of our feasts when we break our fast, pictures of our local mosque/masjid during maghrib salah etc? Do a Learn-a-Prophet's story day? Tafsir Quran? I don't know, let's think of some ideas!

op!

(i dont understand 'that nothing should own you' but thanks for sharing)

In Saudi Arabia, this Ramadhan, Fajr prayer is around 4.14 AM, Maghrib is 7.02 PM.

So, any country has started fasting today? I heard Indonesia has already seen Hilaal of 1st Ramadhan?

we will start in sunday, but in indonesia some groups have started from friday or saturday. majority of us follow the central though

salam :)

i want to hear anyone's opinion about random people who ask for zakat. Paying zakat is an obligation for every adult, mentally stable, free, and financially able Muslim and it should be given to people/relatives/neighbors who are in need. So i can't help but consider those who ask for it similar to people who beg for money and they call it zakat just because it's the end of Ramadhan. In normal day, only one or two people who go door to door to ask for money so it makes me slighty more uncomfortable when they come to my house in a full team, like a whole family, 5-7 people. Of course it's because they expect people to give them more money and that's why they say they ask for zakat.

And since there are requirements in giving zakat, if we end up give them some money, it's just still considered as common charity right?

And yes it's nothing to lose, but sometimes I feel it will only make those capable people lazier and more addicted in asking for money if we give them

zakat is an obligation in a specific amount (in this case money, im not sure tho). such  a pity that irresponsible people use this opportunity to gain money for theirself. its uncomfortable indeed. but as my teacher always say, as long as we're ikhlas, the latter problem is their own's with The Upper.

i consider it as sadaqah, if our zakat amount has been surpassed.

i know that feeling. its just, hey, why dont you work like us to gain some? call me stingy, but for beggars, i dont give money easily; if i think they really need it, i do, but if i think they just some lazy, sitting people, nope. i dont want to make them lazy, and i think im being nice .-. (please dont follow me)

(and please excuse my byutiful engrish)
