Pepe le Puke 2
i wouldn't quite place the blame on wahabism. mainstream sunni islam has a very negative view of bid'ah/innovation. in their eyes the laws set out in the quran and sunnah are timeless. unfortunately those that have more progressive reformist views are usually labelled heretics. /also have a muslim background Assalamualaikum I am new to Islam myself and declared my faith for almost 2 years now, so teaching myself how to make my faith's way of life can be an excruciating. However so many reformists make their way to be heard but why do you think they are called heretics if progression should be timeless itself? btw, I am new to the forum too and it so happened that I saw this post

Pepe le Puke 2
Walaykum salam! I see you visited my profile as well lol Can you repeat your sentence I put in bold? I don't quite understand ^.^ I personally believe Islam is perfection in itself (not Muslims of course) and the Quran transcends time and place itself. The Quran was given to us to adhere to, to understand and follow. And of course, hadiths are important too as without it, we wouldn't know how to even pray like Muhammed (pbuh) did and how to conduct ourselves as Muslims in general. May Allah reward you and keep you steadfast in our beautiful religion, Islam. Ameen. May He, the Most Merciful, grant you happiness in this life and the Hereafter in Heaven. Ameen ya Rabb. I'm sorry for the late response for I have been occupied with things outside the net. And yes, I visited your profile 'coz I thought you do a good job on making your profile and threads look amazing, so I was making myself a fan since I'm a noob in here.lols Anyway, now that I look back into my question/sentence that I made meant more as a sentiment that needs no response. I agree with you saying that Islam is perfection beyond human comprehension. we Muslims are blessed enough to live our life experience as believers in Allah for being the supreme and all knowing with Muhammad (pbuh) as a prophet. However, I personally find myself shaken when I witness persecution towards those people who aim for Muslims' progression just because reform is too scary to embrace. Becoming a better Muslim is an unfailing everyday effort and insha'Allah I'll get rewards for making the right choice. I hope I made it clear for you that I am just as new to this an infant learning how to walk
Pepe le Puke 2
Assalamu alaikum to everyone here. I'm new to the religion and I thank and give praise to the Most High for putting me in a position in my life where finding a purpose in life can be attained with the guidance of Islam's teachings. I am grateful for this blessing altho idk if it's wrong to think that strengthening my faith can't be worked if I do it alone..
