DeCrazyCatLova 946
I'm learning about this religion in my history class and it's interesting (7th grade medieval world history). I actually have the Five Pillars memorized. I have a question, are you going to visit the Ka'aba? Thank you for your interest in Islam~ I'm pretty sure a lot of us in this thread are praying to be blessed with the opportunity to visit the Holy Ka'abah at least once in our lives. I, for one, haven't seen it in person but I hear it's an amazing experience! I want to go so badly it hurts
DeCrazyCatLova 946
I hope you get to go someday! I appreciate that, thank you
DeCrazyCatLova 946
Walaikum Assalaam Warahmatullah newcomers~ Quick question: What can I do to quell my fear whenever I get scared? I know that such petty fear is stupid, but sometimes I read creepy stories online and then when it's after Maghrib I would get paranoid... I say أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم and it helps a lot, but I would really appreciate it if someone could provide me with a Dua or an excerpt from the Quran to recite. DeCrazyCatLova 946
I personally recite Ayat al Kursi ( the verse of the throne) said to be the verse of protection, that protects one of everything. and that when one often recites this verse. the only thing that prevents him from heaven is death. it is also said that this verse equals the quarter of the Quran When you lie down in your bed, recite ayat al-Kursi, Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists… [al-Baraqah 2:255] until the end of the ayah, then you will have a protector from Allah and no shaytan (devil) will come near you until morning comes Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu) narrated; In Surah al-Baqaraah there is an ayah which is the best of all the ayahs of the Qur’an. It is never recited in a house but the Shaytan leaves: Ayat al-Kursi. Jazakallah al-Khair
DeCrazyCatLova 946
Here's an interesting food for thought: Could the sightings of extraterrestrial alien life actually be jinn?
DeCrazyCatLova 946
Or the sightings could be fake? Or mistaken as aliens? There's this video that might help you on the topic. Thanks that was an interesting video. However, this scholar has implied that humans are not honoured above all creation. Aren't humans who believe and do good works considered to be the best of creation? [98:07] I'm not very well-versed in the subject but I thought it to be interesting, since we do know that Jinn have superhuman characteristics like the travelling at the speed of light. I thought that maybe they could be inhabiting other planets and as you stated were mistaken as aliens. But seeing how this maight be a dangerous topic I won't venture any further tbh
DeCrazyCatLova 946
Guys... I have some questions. So I came from a... I can say, a pretty religious muslim family. I've been taught the religion since I was little and been studying in all-muslim school until Junior High. I've always been taught not to doubt about my religion, to believe in Allah, to do Salah five times a day and do everything that's been told I must do as a muslim. I don't know if everything I've been taught just isn't enough or is it because of something else but I just can't find the hidayah or feeling that I actually belong to this religion. I am aware that I have to do what's wajib but I... I don't know how to explain this, but I just can't bring myself to. Not because I'm doubting this religion because in my opinion even if I weren't born in a Muslim family, I would still think that this religion is beautiful. I just think that, why am I doing all these if I don't even have my heart in this religion? I'm really bad at explaining and I might end up saying things I didn't meant about this but my point is rather that feeling I belong in this religion, I'm more to believing in only Allah and that's it. What I want to ask is, why do you choose Islam as your religion? I want to know about all your opinions and views. Assalamu alaikum dear sister/brother~ For a while I was trying my best to come up with a good response that would be of help to you. A few years ago, I too was in the same predicament as you are currently in. I too went to an all Muslim school and I believed that there is no god but Allah (SWT) and Muhammad (SAW) is His Messenger. With regards to Islam as a whole, I would learn about the Sunnah and was told to follow it merely because it was good for us, of course. But at the time, I was ignorant to the Hikmah (Wisdom) behind the things Islam tells us to do and just blindly followed without even pondering over the reasoning of these actions. Then by the Will of Allah (SWT) and His Mercy I came across these videos by Talk Islam on Youtube; they are one of the few trustworthy youtubers who bring together reasoning and faith. Mashallah they are amazing and their spoken words often bring me to tears so maybe you should try listening to them if you haven't already. Tbh they brought me closer to Islam and made me discover a newly found love for Islam ^This one in particular got me bawling Subhanallah Islam is a way of life.
