Its like a dying art for artist to do... instead they put dancers in the vids to dance instead of themselves ... It's not lazy, it's that most Western singers/musicians are vocalists first or play an instrument; dancing except in R&B/Urban groups used to be there to distract you from singers who couldn't sing, like Britney Spears or Madonna. Those types of artists can't just stand under a spotlight and sing, like an Adele or a Kelly Clarkson. That said, maybe you meant Caucasian pop stars because many Western artists of color still have choreo even when they get old - remember Michael Jackson was 50 when he passed and still doing his thing. And what of Missy Elliot, Ciara, Janelle Monae, Bruno Mars, Usher, Chris Brown, Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, etc.? Rappers don't dance. They grind, wine and bounce and throw up a multitude of hand gestures, but they are not dancers. Nicki, Tyga, Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Kanye, Snoop D, Kendrick L, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, T.I, Trina and ect. They write their lyrics, they compose their beats and arrange their music and will spit rhymes for days but they are NOT dancers and it's ridiculous to compare something like GFRIEND to A$AP Rocky and have the same expectations. Still though, there are plenty of artists who do dance, (The R&B/ Dance Pop/ Reggae) just because they're not in sync with their BGD or going ham doesn't mean that they are bad dancers or incapable. Kpop is systematic in which they train their idols for months to years to be able to dance the way they do, in America it's either you got it or you don't. Tinashe, Chris Brown, Beyonce, Usher, Janet Jackson, Justin Beiber, Zendaya, Trey Songz, Ciara, Justin Timberlake and more are all dancers and they are good at it. And then you have your vocalists like Mariah, Alicia, Ariana for example who can groove time to time but are less casual dancers and more powerhouse. Another serious point is how in KPOP, age is an important thing; "has-beens" are replaced by younger idols who have the youth and energy to bust moves and perform for hours at a time without losing momentum. It's not that way in America. If you are liked, then your age is unimportant (Imagine how shocked people in Korea would be if they knew how most of the popular acts in the USA are in their 30's). I seriously hate it when you got these fools comparing two different markets and always trying to make more seem better than the other when its apples and oranges.
